La C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad <\/strong>y Patrimonio Cultural<\/strong>, creada en 2013, recoge la experiencia en la gesti\u00f3n de la Red Internacional Forum UNESCO – Universidad y Patrimonio (FUUP), surgida en 1995 con la firma de un convenio entre la UNESCO y la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV), con el objetivo de implicar a profesores, investigadores, estudiantes y profesionales de todo el mundo en la realizaci\u00f3n de actividades en favor de la protecci\u00f3n y salvaguarda del Patrimonio Cultural y Natural<\/b>, en l\u00ednea con los ideales de la UNESCO.<\/p>\n

En el marco de la Red FUUP se han llevado a cabo numerosos talleres, exposiciones, publicaciones, cursos y proyectos, especialmente los congresos internacionales con la participaci\u00f3n de especialistas en patrimonio de todo el mundo y el compromiso de las universidades a trav\u00e9s de acuerdos o convenios institucionales.<\/p>\n

La C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio expresa el compromiso de la UPV de seguir contribuyendo a la preservaci\u00f3n y valorizaci\u00f3n del patrimonio mediante la cooperaci\u00f3n entre universidades y la promoci\u00f3n del crecimiento y el intercambio de informaci\u00f3n en la Red FUUP, coordinada en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Centro del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO (WHC)<\/a>. La red cuenta actualmente con m\u00e1s de 3.000 miembros de 130 pa\u00edses<\/b>.<\/p>\n

En este contexto, el alcance y los objetivos de la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO son favorables para fomentar la cooperaci\u00f3n en materia de ense\u00f1anza superior, ciencias, cultura, comunicaci\u00f3n e informaci\u00f3n, de conformidad con la Estrategia a Plazo Medio de la UNESCO 2014-2021 y la Cultura para el Desarrollo Sostenible 2030, y en particular con los siguientes objetivos estrat\u00e9gicos:<\/p>\n

– Promover la cooperaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica internacional en temas cr\u00edticos para el desarrollo sostenible en consonancia con los ODS 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Apoyar el desarrollo social inclusivo, fomentar el di\u00e1logo intercultural para el acercamiento de las culturas y promover los principios \u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n

– Proteger, promover y transmitir el Patrimonio Cultural.<\/p>\n

– Fomentar la creatividad y la diversidad de las expresiones culturales.<\/p>\n

– Promover la libertad de expresi\u00f3n, el desarrollo de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y el acceso a la informaci\u00f3n y el conocimiento.<\/p>\n

– La protecci\u00f3n del Patrimonio Cultural<\/b>, teniendo en cuenta su diversidad (natural y cultural, mueble e inmueble, material e inmaterial), teniendo en cuenta sus diversas formas y su triple funci\u00f3n: identidad, vector de desarrollo e instrumento de reconciliaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

– La difusi\u00f3n y aplicaci\u00f3n de las convenciones internacionales relativas a la protecci\u00f3n de los bienes culturales<\/b> (1954, 1970, 1972 y 2001) y al P<\/strong>atrimonio Cultural Inmaterial <\/b>(2003), en particular reforzando el objetivo estrat\u00e9gico de la UNESCO de “proteger y valorizar el patrimonio cultural de manera sostenible”.<\/p>\n

C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural fue galardonado con el premio CICOP 2011<\/a> a la Comunicaci\u00f3n y Difusi\u00f3n del Patrimonio Cultural.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
