      D\u00cdA INTERNACIONAL DEL CONSERVADOR-RESTAURADOR<\/h3>\n

      Hoy, 27 de enero,<\/strong> se celebra el D\u00eda Internacional del Conservador-Restaurador<\/strong>, una jornada dedicada a reconocer la labor de los profesionales que se encargan de preservar el patrimonio cultural de la humanidad. Desde obras de arte ic\u00f3nicas hasta yacimientos arqueol\u00f3gicos y documentos hist\u00f3ricos, su trabajo garantiza que estos bienes lleguen intactos a las futuras generaciones.<\/p>\n

      El papel de los conservadores-restauradores es fundamental en la protecci\u00f3n de piezas que forman parte de la identidad cultural de los pueblos. Su labor abarca desde el an\u00e1lisis cient\u00edfico de materiales hasta la intervenci\u00f3n en bienes afectados por el paso del tiempo, desastres naturales o conflictos armados. En este sentido, su tarea no solo se limita a la restauraci\u00f3n de obras, sino tambi\u00e9n a la prevenci\u00f3n de da\u00f1os mediante el desarrollo de t\u00e9cnicas innovadoras y la sensibilizaci\u00f3n sobre la importancia del cuidado del patrimonio.<\/p>\n

      En este d\u00eda, la C\u00e1tedra quiere, agradecer, especialmente, la labor a todos los profesionales y voluntarios del Departamento de Conservaci\u00f3n y Restauraci\u00f3n de Bienes Culturales de la UPV, por el esfuerzo en el proyecto \"Salvem les fotos\", en el que se ha trabajado duro para devolver los recuerdos a todos los damnificados por la DANA ocurrida en Valencia, el pasado mes de octubre.<\/p>\n

      En el contexto del cambio clim\u00e1tico, los conservadores-restauradores enfrentan nuevos desaf\u00edos, como la protecci\u00f3n de bienes culturales frente al aumento de la humedad, la acidificaci\u00f3n del agua y los desastres naturales. Un ejemplo destacado es el trabajo en el Mediterr\u00e1neo, donde estos profesionales contribuyen a la preservaci\u00f3n del patrimonio subacu\u00e1tico, incluyendo naufragios hist\u00f3ricos y estructuras sumergidas.<\/p>\n

      En Espa\u00f1a, instituciones como el Instituto Universitario de Restauraci\u00f3n del Patrimonio (IRP), donde se encuentra nuestra C\u00e1tedra, lideran proyectos de conservaci\u00f3n y formaci\u00f3n, destacando la relevancia de estos expertos en la gesti\u00f3n del patrimonio. Adem\u00e1s, se promueven colaboraciones internacionales para enfrentar retos globales, como el tr\u00e1fico il\u00edcito de bienes culturales y la p\u00e9rdida de patrimonio en zonas de conflicto.<\/p>\n

      Este d\u00eda es una oportunidad para valorar el compromiso y la dedicaci\u00f3n de los conservadores-restauradores, quienes, con su conocimiento y esfuerzo, no solo preservan la memoria colectiva, sino que tambi\u00e9n contribuyen al desarrollo de una sociedad m\u00e1s consciente y respetuosa con su legado cultural.<\/p>\n

      En el d\u00eda de hoy, la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV, ha abierto un nuevo apartado en su sitio web de Art\u00edculos de Opini\u00f3n, donde colaboradores y otras figuras relacionadas, tanto con la C\u00e1tedra, como el patrimonio cultural, podr\u00e1n compartir temas relacionados con el arte y la cultura con toda nuestra comunidad.<\/p>\n

      INTERNATIONAL CONSERVATOR-RESTORER DAY<\/h3>\n

      Today, January 27,<\/strong> marks International Conservator-Restorer Day<\/strong>, a day dedicated to recognizing the work of the professionals who are responsible for preserving humanity's cultural heritage. From iconic works of art to archaeological sites and historical documents, their work ensures that these assets reach future generations intact.<\/p>\n

      The role of conservator-restorers is fundamental in the protection of pieces that are part of the cultural identity of peoples. Their work ranges from the scientific analysis of materials to the intervention in assets affected by the passage of time, natural disasters or armed conflicts. In this sense, its task is not only limited to the restoration of works, but also to the prevention of damage through the development of innovative techniques and raising awareness of the importance of heritage care.<\/p>\n

      In the context of climate change, conservator-restorers face new challenges, such as the protection of cultural property from increased humidity, water acidification and natural disasters. A prominent example is the work in the Mediterranean, where these professionals contribute to the preservation of underwater heritage, including historic shipwrecks and submerged structures.<\/p>\n

      In Spain, institutions such as the Instituto Universitario de Restauraci\u00f3n del Patrimonio (IRP), where our Chair is located, lead conservation and training projects, highlighting the relevance of these experts in heritage management. In addition, international collaborations are promoted to face global challenges, such as the illicit trafficking of cultural property and the loss of heritage in conflict zones.<\/p>\n

      This day is an opportunity to value the commitment and dedication of conservator-restorers, who, with their knowledge and effort, not only preserve the collective memory, but also contribute to the development of a society that is more aware and respectful of its cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

      Today, the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV, has opened a new section on its website of Opinion Articles, where collaborators and other figures related to both the Chair and cultural heritage, can share issues related to art and culture with our community.<\/p>\n
