      Cada 11 de febrero, el mundo conmemora el D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer y la Ni\u00f1a en la Ciencia<\/strong>, una fecha clave para visibilizar el trabajo de las mujeres en la investigaci\u00f3n y la innovaci\u00f3n. En el \u00e1mbito del patrimonio cultural<\/strong>, la ciencia juega un papel crucial para la conservaci\u00f3n, restauraci\u00f3n y estudio de los vestigios hist\u00f3ricos que forman parte de nuestra identidad. Desde la arqueolog\u00eda hasta la digitalizaci\u00f3n de bienes culturales, las cient\u00edficas han sido protagonistas de importantes avances que permiten proteger y comprender mejor nuestro pasado.<\/p>\n

      El estudio del patrimonio cultural ha evolucionado significativamente gracias a la incorporaci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas y metodolog\u00edas cient\u00edficas. La aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas como la teledetecci\u00f3n, la espectroscopia de infrarrojos o la fotogrametr\u00eda en 3D<\/strong> ha permitido la recuperaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n valiosa sobre monumentos, yacimientos arqueol\u00f3gicos y restos art\u00edsticos.<\/p>\n

      Los avances en ciencia y tecnolog\u00eda han permitido no solo descubrir nuevos restos arqueol\u00f3gicos, sino tambi\u00e9n garantizar su conservaci\u00f3n frente a amenazas como el cambio clim\u00e1tico o la urbanizaci\u00f3n. En este sentido, t\u00e9cnicas como la biotecnolog\u00eda aplicada a la restauraci\u00f3n de piedra y materiales org\u00e1nicos<\/strong> han abierto nuevas posibilidades en la conservaci\u00f3n del patrimonio.<\/p>\n

      A pesar de los avances, las mujeres a\u00fan enfrentan desaf\u00edos en el acceso y reconocimiento dentro de las disciplinas cient\u00edficas del patrimonio. Seg\u00fan la UNESCO, menos del 30% de los investigadores en el mundo son mujeres, lo que refleja la necesidad de seguir promoviendo la igualdad en la ciencia.<\/p>\n

      El D\u00eda Internacional de la Mujer y la Ni\u00f1a en la Ciencia<\/strong> es una oportunidad para destacar el impacto del trabajo femenino en la investigaci\u00f3n y la conservaci\u00f3n del patrimonio cultural. Adem\u00e1s, es un llamado a fomentar vocaciones cient\u00edficas entre las ni\u00f1as, asegurando que las futuras generaciones contin\u00faen avanzando en el conocimiento y la preservaci\u00f3n de nuestra historia.<\/p>\n

      El legado cultural de la humanidad depende en gran medida de la ciencia, y cada vez son m\u00e1s las mujeres que, con su talento y esfuerzo, contribuyen a que ese legado perdure en el tiempo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

      INTERNATIONAL DAY OF WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SCIENCE<\/h3>\n

      Every February 11, the world commemorates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a key date to highlight the work of women in research and innovation. In the field of cultural heritage, science plays a crucial role in the conservation, restoration and study of the historical vestiges that are part of our identity. From archaeology to the digitization of cultural property, women scientists have been the protagonists of important advances that allow us to protect and better understand our past.<\/p>\n

      The study of cultural heritage has evolved significantly thanks to the incorporation of new technologies and scientific methodologies. The application of techniques such as remote sensing, infrared spectroscopy or 3D photogrammetry has allowed the recovery of valuable information on monuments, archaeological sites and artistic remains.<\/p>\n

      Advances in science and technology have made it possible not only to discover new archaeological remains, but also to guarantee their conservation in the face of threats such as climate change or urbanization. In this sense, techniques such as biotechnology applied to the restoration of stone and organic materials have opened up new possibilities in heritage conservation.<\/p>\n

      Despite advances, women still face challenges in access and recognition within heritage science disciplines. According to UNESCO, less than 30% of researchers worldwide are women, reflecting the need to continue promoting equality in science.<\/p>\n

      The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity to highlight the impact of women's work in research and conservation of cultural heritage. It is also a call to foster scientific vocations among girls, ensuring that future generations will continue to advance knowledge and the preservation of our history.<\/p>\n
