La Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV)<\/strong> ha designado a la catedr\u00e1tica y Directora de la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV, \u00a0Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos Ram\u00f3n<\/strong>, como nueva directora del Instituto Universitario de Restauraci\u00f3n del Patrimonio (IRP)<\/strong>. Con una dilatada trayectoria en el \u00e1mbito de la conservaci\u00f3n y restauraci\u00f3n de bienes culturales, asume este cargo tras ocho a\u00f1os de gesti\u00f3n del profesor Paco Juan.\u200b<\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos ha sido profesora en el Departamento de Conservaci\u00f3n y Restauraci\u00f3n de Bienes Culturales de la UPV durante m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas, contribuyendo significativamente a la formaci\u00f3n de nuevas generaciones de profesionales en este campo. Su labor investigadora se ha centrado en \u00e1reas como el an\u00e1lisis de la retabl\u00edstica g\u00f3tica y barroca valenciana, la desinsectaci\u00f3n con microondas del patrimonio y los m\u00e9todos no destructivos de indagaci\u00f3n sobre el patrimonio. Desde 2018, dirige la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural de la UPV, promoviendo la cooperaci\u00f3n internacional en la protecci\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n del patrimonio cultural.\u200b<\/p>\n

Bajo su liderazgo, el IRP continuar\u00e1 con su misi\u00f3n de investigar, conservar y difundir el patrimonio cultural y natural. Adem\u00e1s, el IRP ha estado involucrado en iniciativas de cooperaci\u00f3n internacional, como la renovaci\u00f3n de la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural hasta 2025, con Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos al frente. Esta renovaci\u00f3n refuerza el compromiso de la UPV con la promoci\u00f3n de la cooperaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y la protecci\u00f3n del patrimonio cultural a nivel global.\u200b<\/p>\n

La designaci\u00f3n de Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos como directora del IRP representa una apuesta por la continuidad y el fortalecimiento de proyectos que integran investigaci\u00f3n, formaci\u00f3n y acci\u00f3n social en el \u00e1mbito de la conservaci\u00f3n del patrimonio. Su amplia experiencia y liderazgo son garant\u00eda de que el Instituto mantendr\u00e1 su posici\u00f3n de vanguardia en la restauraci\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n del patrimonio cultural y natural.<\/p>\n

VICTORIA VIVANCOS, NEW DIRECTOR OF THE IRP-UPV: AN OPPORTUNITY TO STRENGTHEN COLLABORATION WITH THE UNESCO FORUM CHAIR<\/h3>\n

The Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Val\u00e8ncia (UPV)<\/strong> has appointed the professor and Director of the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV, Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos Ram\u00f3n<\/strong>, as the new director of the University Institute of Heritage Restoration (IRP)<\/strong>. With an extensive experience in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural property, she assumes this position after eight years of management of Professor Paco Juan.<\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos has been a professor in the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the UPV for more than three decades, contributing significantly to the training of new generations of professionals in this field. Her research work has focused on areas such as the analysis of Valencian Gothic and Baroque altarpieces, microwave disinsectation of heritage and non-destructive methods of heritage inquiry. Since 2018, he has directed the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage at the UPV, promoting international cooperation in the protection and dissemination of cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

Under his leadership, the IRP will continue its mission to research, conserve and disseminate cultural and natural heritage. In addition, the IRP has been involved in international cooperation initiatives, such as the renewal of the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage until 2025, with Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos at the helm. This renewal reinforces the commitment of the UPV with the promotion of scientific cooperation and the protection of cultural heritage at a global level.<\/p>\n

The appointment of Mar\u00eda Victoria Vivancos as director of the IRP represents a commitment to the continuity and strengthening of projects that integrate research, training and social action in the field of heritage conservation. Her extensive experience and leadership are a guarantee that the Institute will maintain its leading position in the restoration and dissemination of cultural and natural heritage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am convinced that this new stage will allow greater collaboration between the IRP and the UNESCO Chair, promoting joint projects, making the work of our researchers visible and contributing to strengthen the international dimension of the university in the field of heritage,\u201d said Victoria Vivancos.<\/p>\n
