Esta propuesta es un homenaje a los peque\u00f1os pescadores, acuicultores y el trabajo del pescado general, que forma parte de un escal\u00f3n primordial en nuestra pir\u00e1mide alimentaria. La entidad que lidera este reconocimiento es la <strong>Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentaci\u00f3n y Agricultura (FAO)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Seg\u00fan los datos del FAO, en 2018, un total de 40 millones de personas trabajan la pesca de captura a nivel mundial. Casi el 50% son mujeres (2012). En cuanto a la acuicultura, como actividad es desarrollada por 20 millones de personas (FAO, 2018) y un dato que llama nuestra atenci\u00f3n es que el 80% de la producci\u00f3n mundial procede de pa\u00edses en desarrollo.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Por otro lado, cabe mencionar que este A\u00f1o Internacional se inserta en el <strong>Decenio de las Naciones Unidas de la Agricultura Familiar (2019-2028)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Se trata, por tanto, de una larga carrera perteneciente a la <strong>Agenda 2030<\/strong>, en la que una de las metas a conseguir es el <strong>Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible<\/strong> n\u00famero 14: <strong>vida submarina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Este peque\u00f1o homenaje permite tambi\u00e9n dar un paso al frente respecto a otros objetivos, como el de <strong>Fin de la Pobreza<\/strong> (1) o <strong>Hambre Cero<\/strong> (2).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Otros de los mensajes destacados en este A\u00f1o Internacional son:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul><li>Utilizar la biodiversidad de manera sostenible para la supervivencia de la pesca artesanal y la acuicultura en peque\u00f1a escala.<\/li><li>Apoyar las cadenas de valor inclusivas para la pesca artesanal y la acuicultura en peque\u00f1a escala.<\/li><li>Asegurar la inclusi\u00f3n social y el bienestar de la pesca artesanal y la acuicultura en peque\u00f1a escala.<\/li><li>Asegurar la participaci\u00f3n efectiva de la pesca artesanal y la acuicultura en peque\u00f1a escala en el fortalecimiento de pol\u00edticas ambientales habilitadoras.<\/li><li>Reconocer que las mujeres y los hombres en la pesca y la acuicultura en peque\u00f1a escala son iguales.<\/li><li>Promover la contribuci\u00f3n de la pesca y la acuicultura artesanales a dietas saludables en sistemas alimentarios sostenibles.<\/li><li>Aumentar la preparaci\u00f3n y la capacidad de adaptaci\u00f3n de la pesca y la acuicultura en peque\u00f1a escala a la degradaci\u00f3n, crisis, desastres y cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Desde la <strong>C\u00e1tedra Forum UNESCO Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural<\/strong>, nos sumamos a la meta 14.4 del ODS 14 (Vida submarina) con el inicio de un proyecto divulgativo (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oceanartproject.blogs.upv.es\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/oceanartproject.blogs.upv.es\/\">Ocean Art Project<\/a><\/strong>). Esta meta apunta a la conservaci\u00f3n y utilizaci\u00f3n sostenible de los oc\u00e9anos, mares y recursos marinos para el desarrollo sostenible, especialmente, poniendo fin a la pesca excesiva.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Embarca con nosotros en este proyecto para alcanzar los objetivos de la Agenda 2030 construyendo el hogar seguro que nuestros mares y oc\u00e9anos merecen.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>__<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<h2 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">2022: INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF ARTISANAL FISHERIES AND AQUACULTURE<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">The year 2022 has been declared the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA 2022) by the United Nations General Assembly. This proposal is a tribute to small-scale fishermen, fish farmers and artisanal fisheries in general, which is part of a primordial step in our food pyramid. The entity leading this recognition is the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">According to FAO data, in 2018, a total of 40 million people work capture fisheries globally. Almost 50% are women (2012). As for aquaculture, as an activity it is developed by 20 million people (FAO, 2018) and a data that draws our attention is that 80% of the world production comes from developing countries.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that this International Year falls within the United Nations Decade of Family Farming (2019-2028).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">It is, therefore, a long race belonging to the 2030 Agenda, in which one of the goals to be achieved is Sustainable Development Goal number 14: Life Below Water.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">This small tribute also allows us to take a step forward with respect to other objectives, such as the No Poverty (1) or Zero Hunger (2).<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">Other messages highlighted in this International Year are:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<ul class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\"><li>Use biodiversity sustainably for the survival of artisanal fisheries and small-scale aquaculture.<\/li><li>Support inclusive value chains for artisanal fisheries and small-scale aquaculture.<\/li><li>Ensure social inclusion and welfare of artisanal fisheries and small-scale aquaculture.<\/li><li>Ensure the effective participation of artisanal fisheries and small-scale aquaculture in strengthening enabling environmental policies.<\/li><li>Recognize that women and men in small-scale fisheries and aquaculture are equal.<\/li><li>Promote the contribution of artisanal fisheries and aquaculture to healthy diets in sustainable food systems.<\/li><li>Increase the preparedness and adaptive capacity of small-scale fisheries and aquaculture to degradation, crises, disasters and climate change.<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">From the Forum UNESCO Chair University and Cultural Heritage, we join target 14.4 of SDG 14 (Life Below Water) with the launch of an outreach project (<a href=\"https:\/\/oceanartproject.blogs.upv.es\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/oceanartproject.blogs.upv.es\/\">Ocean Art Project<\/a>).
