La guerra en Ucrania <\/strong>es, sin duda, uno de los eventos m\u00e1s graves a los que se ha enfrentado nuestra historia en este 2022. Las consecuencias en p\u00e9rdidas humanas han provocado multitud de miradas rotas pendientes de estas coordenadas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Siendo las p\u00e9rdidas humanas, las m\u00e1s devastadoras posibles en una guerra, tanto la econom\u00eda, como el patrimonio, tambi\u00e9n se han visto afectados en este conflicto, representando recursos b\u00e1sicos de la sociedad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Centro Internacional de Estudios para la Conservaci\u00f3n y la Restauraci\u00f3n de los Bienes Culturales (ICCROM)<\/strong> y el Consejo Internacional de Monumentos y Sitios (ICOMOS)<\/strong> han liderado una misi\u00f3n conjunta llevada a cabo entre el 9 y el 16 de julio <\/strong>de este a\u00f1o. La finalidad de esta cooperaci\u00f3n se encuentra en el reconocimiento al esfuerzo del Ministerio de Cultura y Pol\u00edtica de Informaci\u00f3n de Ucrania, entre otras organizaciones de protecci\u00f3n del patrimonio del pa\u00eds <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En esta misi\u00f3n, se han evaluado los da\u00f1os causados al patrimonio cultural ucraniano y se ha llevado a cabo la identificaci\u00f3n de las necesidades urgentes enmarcadas en una estrategia de salvaguarda y recuperaci\u00f3n del patrimonio. Tanto el Ministro de Cultura y Pol\u00edtica de Informaci\u00f3n, Oleksandr Tkachenko y la Viceministra Kateryna Chuieva, han participado en la discusi\u00f3n y selecci\u00f3n de formas de asistencia t\u00e9cnica y formativa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son numerosas las organizaciones que se han sumado a este encuentro de urgencia, como, por ejemplo, la Respuesta de Emergencia del Patrimonio (HERI), el Museo Nacional de la Revoluci\u00f3n de la Dignidad o el Comit\u00e9 Cient\u00edfico Internacional de Preparaci\u00f3n ante el Riesgo (ICORP). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La delegaci\u00f3n, entre la que se encontraba la presidenta de ICOMOS Teresa Patr\u00edcio, visit\u00f3 ciudades de la regi\u00f3n de Kiev y Chernihiv. Las zonas que abarcaron inclu\u00edan tanto la catedral de Santa Sof\u00eda o edificios mon\u00e1sticos, como zonas urbanas, rurales y naturales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El patrimonio es uno de los s\u00edmbolos que enmarcan nuestra esencia como comunidad. El ataque a aquello que nos representa es un golpe directo a nuestra historia y parte de lo que somos. En tiempos de guerra, esta fuente de riqueza se sit\u00faa en el punto de mira como un objetivo de lo m\u00e1s vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JOINT ICOMOS-ICCROM MISSION IN UKRAINE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The war in Ukraine<\/strong> is undoubtedly one of the most serious events that our history has faced in this 2022. The consequences in terms of human losses have provoked a multitude of broken eyes pending on these coordinates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being the human losses, the most devastating possible in a war, both the economy and heritage have also been affected in this conflict, representing basic resources of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM)<\/strong> and the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS)<\/strong> led a joint mission from July 9th to 16th this year<\/strong>. The purpose of this cooperation is to recognize the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, among other organizations for the protection of the country's heritage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this mission, the damage caused to the Ukrainian cultural heritage has been assessed and the identification of urgent needs framed in a strategy of safeguarding and recovery of the heritage has been carried out. Both the Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Oleksandr Tkachenko, and Deputy Minister Kateryna Chuieva have participated in the discussion and selection of forms of technical and training assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous organizations, such as the Heritage Emergency Response (HERI), the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity and the International Scientific Committee on Risk Preparedness (ICORP), joined the emergency meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation, which included ICOMOS President Teresa Patr\u00edcio, visited cities in the Kiev region and Chernihiv. The areas they covered included both the St. Sophia Cathedral and monastic buildings, as well as urban, rural and natural areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 14th, 2022, the ICOMOS-ICCROM delegation presented the results of the mission at a press conference. The video is available here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
