El Centro Internacional de Estudios para la Conservaci\u00f3n y la Restauraci\u00f3n de los Bienes Culturales (ICCROM)<\/strong> llevar\u00e1 a cabo el pr\u00f3ximo 16 de septiembre<\/strong> un seminario web<\/strong> titulado \u201cValuing Cultural Capital: accounting for the hidden value of heritage\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El patrimonio cultural contribuye de muchas formas a la sostenibilidad y bienestar<\/strong> de nuestro entorno. Desglosando los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible en las distintas metas planteadas, se puede observar que el patrimonio se encuentra presente en muchos de ellos de manera indirecta, tanto como objeto y veh\u00edculo para alcanzar los objetivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este seminario on-line pretende desarrollar un di\u00e1logo entre pol\u00edticos, economistas culturales e investigadores del patrimonio sobre formas de mejora en los m\u00e9todos actuales para dar importancia a ese valor oculto que ofrecen los bienes culturales y que se hace evidente en todos los beneficios sociales que generan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este seminario se enmarca, a su vez, en el reconocimiento del potencial del patrimonio que llev\u00f3, en 2021, al Departamento de Cultura, Medios de Comunicaci\u00f3n y Deporte del Reino Unido (DCMS) a proponer una pol\u00edtica de mejora en la valoraci\u00f3n de los activos del capital destinado a cultura para apoyar la toma de decisi\u00f3n en cuanto a conservaci\u00f3n de sitios hist\u00f3ricos y otros bienes culturales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A trav\u00e9s de esta reuni\u00f3n, se identificar\u00e1n y valorar\u00e1n todas las limitaciones de las t\u00e9cnicas de valoraci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica con la finalidad de mejorar la toma de decisiones sobre patrimonio en distintos contextos, promover enfoques participativos basados en la gesti\u00f3n cultural y demostrar el impacto del patrimonio en la sostenibilidad y el bienestar social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICCROM WEBINAR: ON THE ECONOMIC VALUE OF HERITAGE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) <\/strong>will hold a webinar<\/strong> on September 16th <\/strong>entitled \"Valuing Cultural Capital: accounting for the hidden value of heritage\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cultural heritage contributes in many ways to the sustainability and well-being of our environment. Breaking down the 17 Sustainable Development Goals into the different targets, it can be seen that heritage is present in many of them indirectly, both as an object and as a vehicle to achieve the goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This online seminar aims to develop a dialogue between politicians, cultural economists and heritage researchers on ways to improve current methods to give importance to the hidden value that cultural assets offer and that is evident in all the social benefits they generate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This seminar, in turn, is part of the recognition of the potential of heritage that led, in 2021, the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to propose a policy to improve the valuation of cultural capital assets to support decision-making on the conservation of historic sites and other cultural assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this meeting, all the limitations of economic valuation techniques will be identified and assessed with the aim of improving heritage decision-making in different contexts, promoting participatory approaches based on cultural management and demonstrating the impact of heritage on sustainability and social well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
