Esta poblaci\u00f3n tiene su origen en el a\u00f1o 917 y presenta una particularidad: en 1962 qued\u00f3 sumergida tras la construcci\u00f3n del embalse, dejando a la vista \u00fanicamente el campanario de la <strong>iglesia rom\u00e1nica<\/strong>, datada del siglo XI.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"}}} -->\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">La edificaci\u00f3n qued\u00f3 sumergida a <strong>23 metros de profundidad<\/strong>. Est\u00e1 compuesta por una nave y un campanario adosado que fue intervenido en 1999 por el riesgo que supon\u00eda la debilitaci\u00f3n de su estructura. La sequ\u00eda que sufre ahora el territorio ha provocado un descenso del 37% de la capacidad del pantano y la iglesia se puede observar casi al completo. Este fen\u00f3meno sucedi\u00f3 en 2005 cuando se vaci\u00f3 el pantano para trasvasar el agua al de Susqueda en otro momento de sequ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"}}} -->\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Este tipo de situaciones se repiten en otros lugares de Espa\u00f1a donde se han construido infraestructuras hidr\u00e1ulicas, como ocurre en el Real Sitio de La Isabela (Saced\u00f3n, Guadalajara); o en yacimientos, como el campamento militar romano de <em>Aquis Querquennis<\/em> en el embalse de As Conchas (Ourense, Galicia), que fue declarado bien de inter\u00e9s cultural en 2018.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"}}} -->\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Todos estos ejemplos representan un choque entre infraestructuras y cultura, generando numerosos debates y pol\u00e9micas. Nuestra realidad, sin embargo, deber\u00eda apuntar a una convivencia respetuosa para preservar el patrimonio, estableciendo pol\u00edticas que limiten y protejan un entorno cultural frente a nuevas construcciones.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"}}} -->\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">__<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:video {\"id\":6874} -->\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/catunescoforum.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/La-iglesia-sumergida-en-1962-que-emerge-por-la-sequi\u0301a-_-EL-PAI\u0301S.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption>\u00a9El Pa\u00eds<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<!-- \/wp:video -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"style\":{\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<h2 class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4\">SUBMERGED HERITAGE: THE CHURCH OF<em> SANT ROM\u00c0 DE SAU<\/em><\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"},\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4;font-size:15px\"><em><strong>Sant Rom\u00e0 de Sau <\/strong><\/em>belongs to the Catalan municipality of <em>Vilanova de Sau<\/em>, in the province of <strong>Barcelona<\/strong>. This population has its origin in the year 917 and has a particularity: in 1962 it was submerged after the construction of the reservoir, leaving only the bell tower of the <strong>Romanesque<\/strong> church, dating from the eleventh century.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"},\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4;font-size:15px\">The building was submerged at a <strong>depth of 23 meters<\/strong>. It consists of a nave and an attached bell tower that was intervened in 1999 due to the risk posed by the weakening of its structure. The drought that the territory is now suffering has caused a 37% decrease in the capacity of the reservoir and the church can be seen almost completely. This phenomenon happened in 2005 when the reservoir was emptied to transfer water to the <em>Susqueda <\/em>reservoir at another time of drought.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"},\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4;font-size:15px\">This type of situation is repeated in other places in Spain where hydraulic infrastructures have been built, as is the case in the Royal Site of <em>La Isabela<\/em> (Saced\u00f3n, Guadalajara); or in sites, such as the Roman military camp of <em>Aquis Querquennis<\/em> in the <em>As Conchas<\/em> reservoir (Ourense, Galicia), which was declared an asset of cultural interest in 2018.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"style\":{\"typography\":{\"fontSize\":\"15px\"},\"color\":{\"text\":\"#0077d4\"}}} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0077d4;font-size:15px\">All these examples represent a clash between infrastructure and culture, generating numerous debates and controversies.
