C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural (UPV)<\/strong>, promovido por el Instituto de Restauraci\u00f3n del Patrimonio, organiza el taller titulado \u201cArtesan\u00eda sostenible: la cultura del esparto\u201d <\/strong>los d\u00edas 28 y 29 de octubre de 2022<\/strong>. El curso se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en el taller de la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO Forum UPV<\/strong>, bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Victoria Vivancos Ram\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A trav\u00e9s de este curso, se promueve el empleo de t\u00e9cnicas artesanales como alternativa sostenible a las industriales, estas \u00faltimas productoras de residuos qu\u00edmicos que afectan a la vida de nuestros mares y oc\u00e9anos. Este taller se enmarca en Ocean Art Project, que tiene como objetivo salvaguardar el patrimonio cultural marino a trav\u00e9s de la difusi\u00f3n de pr\u00e1cticas responsables.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

El esparto es un recurso que ha formado parte de nuestro escenario natural, encerrando un alto valor ambiental y configurando lo que conocemos como nuestro Paisaje Cultural. Este recurso ha sido una fuente de obtenci\u00f3n de numerosos utensilios de la vida cotidiana durante siglos, fabricando a partir de esta planta, toda clase de elementos: calzado, capazos, bolsos, cuerdas, esteras, asientos, redes de pesca y otros objetos relacionados con el hogar y el trabajo.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Todos los usos, oficios y conocimientos manifiestan un patrimonio inmaterial acumulado y transmitido de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n y configurando una memoria colectiva como herencia de nuestra identidad.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

El taller ser\u00e1 impartido por Mar\u00eda Teresa Mi\u00f1ana Molla<\/strong>, profesional del sector y galardonada con varias distinciones: Menci\u00f3n de Honor al Mejor Producto (2011), Premio Artesan\u00eda de Vanguardia de la Comunidad Valenciana (2017) y Premio Artesan\u00eda Tradicional de la Comunidad de Valencia (2018), quedando tambi\u00e9n finalista en el Premio Ib\u00e9rico de Artesan\u00eda Creativa convocado por Junta de Extremadura.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A trav\u00e9s de este curso, podr\u00e1s conocer la historia de la planta del esparto y sus procesos, as\u00ed como realizar un ejercicio experimentando en la elaboraci\u00f3n de varias t\u00e9cnicas de trenzado utilizadas en la cultura del esparto.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

El 17 de abril de 2019, el Gobierno declar\u00f3 la Cultura del Esparto, Manifestaci\u00f3n Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de Espa\u00f1a.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage (UPV)<\/strong>, promoted by the Instituto de Restauraci\u00f3n del Patrimonio<\/em>, organizes the workshop entitled \"Sustainable Crafts: the culture of esparto grass\" <\/strong>on 28th and 29th October 2022<\/strong>. The course will be held in the atelier of the UNESCO Forum UPV Chair<\/strong>, under the direction of Victoria Vivancos Ram\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This course promotes the use of artisanal techniques as a sustainable alternative to industrial techniques, the latter of which produce chemical residues that affect the life of our seas and oceans. This workshop is part of the Ocean Art Project, which aims to safeguard the marine cultural heritage through the dissemination of responsible practices.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The esparto grass is a resource that has been part of our natural scenery, enclosing a high environmental value and configuring what we know as our Cultural Landscape. This resource has been a source of numerous utensils of daily life for centuries, making from this plant, all kinds of elements: footwear, baskets, bags, ropes, mats, seats, fishing nets and other objects related to home and work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

All the uses, crafts and knowledge manifest an intangible heritage accumulated and transmitted from generation to generation and forming a collective memory as an inheritance of our identity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The workshop will be taught by Mar\u00eda Teresa Mi\u00f1ana Molla<\/strong>, professional of the sector and awarded with several distinctions: Honorable Mention for Best Product (2011), Vanguard Crafts Award of the Comunidad Valenciana<\/em> (2017) and Traditional Crafts Award of the Comunidad Valenciana<\/em> (2018), being also finalist in the Iberian Creative Crafts Award convened by Junta de Extremadura<\/em>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Through this course, you will learn about the history of the esparto plant and its processes, as well as perform an exercise experimenting in the elaboration of various braiding techniques used in the esparto culture.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On April 17th, 2019, the Government declared the Esparto Culture, Representative Manifestation of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Spain.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
