La Guerra Civil Espa\u00f1ola<\/strong>, estuvo protagonizada, entre otras cosas, por las incautaciones de obras art\u00edsticas. El Museo del Prado<\/strong> ha elaborado un cat\u00e1logo de 25 obras<\/strong> documentadas que posiblemente se ver\u00e1 aumentado a ra\u00edz de la investigaci\u00f3n que se inicia ahora y se espera su finalizaci\u00f3n a principios del a\u00f1o 2023.<\/strong> El museo no descarta devolver a los due\u00f1os leg\u00edtimos todas las obras incautadas en su momento y ubicadas, ahora, en el almac\u00e9n del edificio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Entre el cat\u00e1logo de piezas incautadas, destacan una obra de Brueghel el Joven y un Sorolla. De las 25 obras reconocidas por ahora, 17 pinturas fueron entregadas al Museo del Prado por la Comisar\u00eda General del Patrimonio Art\u00edstico Nacional entre 1940 y 1942; otras cinco se entregaron al Museo de Arte Moderno, procedentes de la Comisar\u00eda General del Patrimonio Art\u00edstico Nacional (1942).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El informe provisional publicado por el Museo, indica que 62 obras est\u00e1n relacionadas con la Comisar\u00eda General del Patrimonio Art\u00edstico Nacional, ya durante el franquismo o con la Junta de Incautaci\u00f3n y Protecci\u00f3n del Patrimonio Hist\u00f3rico (1936).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Junta de Incautaci\u00f3n y Protecci\u00f3n del Patrimonio Art\u00edstico<\/strong> fue creada en, 1936 teniendo a su cargo la incautaci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n, en nombre del Estado, de las obras muebles o inmuebles de inter\u00e9s hist\u00f3rico, art\u00edstico y bibliogr\u00e1fico que ofrecieran peligro de ruina, p\u00e9rdida o deterioro. Estaba formado por una Junta Central y Juntas Delegadas provinciales. En 1937 pasa a denominarse Junta Central del Tesoro Art\u00edstico, dependiente del Consejo Central de Archivos, Bibliotecas y Tesoro Art\u00edstico. La Junta Delegada de Incautaci\u00f3n y Patrimonio Art\u00edstico de Valencia se crea en 1937. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fueron muchas las personas que dedicaron todos sus esfuerzos a poner a salvo todas las obras de arte que representaban el tesoro de un pa\u00eds. Este fen\u00f3meno llamado \"Las Cajas Espa\u00f1olas\" -por los recipientes improvisados de madera que tuvieron que crear para el transporte de obra de arte- ha sido llevado a un formato documental por RTVE, que se puede visualizar aqu\u00ed.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    ART SAVED FROM THE PRADO MUSEUM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Spanish Civil War<\/strong> was characterized, among other things, by the seizure of works of art. The Prado Museum<\/strong> has prepared a catalog of 25 documented works<\/strong> that will possibly be increased as a result of the investigation that is starting now and is expected to be completed in early 2023<\/strong>. The museum does not rule out returning to the rightful owners all the works seized at the time and now located in the building's warehouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Among the catalog of seized pieces, a work by Brueghel the Younger and a Sorolla stand out. Of the 25 works recognized so far, 17 paintings were delivered to the Prado Museum by the General Commissariat of National Artistic Heritage between 1940 and 1942; another five were delivered to the Museum of Modern Art, from the General Commissariat of National Artistic Heritage (1942).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The provisional report published by the Museum indicates that 62 works are related to the General Commissariat of National Artistic Heritage, either during Franco's regime or to the Board of Seizure and Protection of Historical Heritage (1936).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Board for the Seizure and Protection of Artistic Heritage <\/strong>was created in 1936 and was in charge of the seizure and conservation, on behalf of the State, of movable or immovable works of historical, artistic and bibliographic interest that were in danger of ruin, loss or deterioration. It was formed by a Central Board and provincial Delegate Boards. In 1937 it was renamed the Central Board of Artistic Treasures, under the Central Council of Archives, Libraries and Artistic Treasures. The Delegated Board of Seizure and Artistic Patrimony of Valencia is created in 1937.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There were many people who dedicated all their efforts to save all the works of art that represented the treasure of a country. This phenomenon called \"Las Cajas Espa\u00f1olas\" -because of the improvised wooden containers they had to create to transport the works of art- has been made into a documentary format by RTVE, which can be viewed here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
