La Catedral de Valencia<\/strong> ha denunciado a la Direcci\u00f3n General de Patrimonio de la Conselleria de Educaci\u00f3n, Cultura y Deporte y al Grupo de Protecci\u00f3n del Patrimonio de la Polic\u00eda Auton\u00f3mica el ataque vand\u00e1lico a uno de los capiteles de la puerta rom\u00e1nica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este capitel representa dos episodios del Antiguo Testamento separados por una columnilla, concretamente dos momentos de la vida de Mois\u00e9s: La Instituci\u00f3n de los Jueces de Israel y la Entrega de las Tablas de la Ley. La peque\u00f1a columna<\/strong> que separa las dos escenas ha sido arrancada del capitel y ha desaparecido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La puerta rom\u00e1nica de la Catedral, mejor conocida como de L\u2019Almoina <\/em>o del Palau<\/em>, es un s\u00edmbolo hist\u00f3rico y art\u00edstico del siglo XIII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salvador Vila, arquitecto-conservador de la Catedral apunta que la destrucci\u00f3n de este capitel ha sido un incidente producido por falta de seguridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La vigilancia del patrimonio es un hecho fundamental para garantizar su correcta conservaci\u00f3n. Sin embargo, la clave debe radicar en la educaci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n<\/strong> para conseguir la sensibilizaci\u00f3n y el entendimiento de que el patrimonio representa a toda una poblaci\u00f3n com\u00fan y s\u00f3lo esta comunidad ser\u00e1 capaz de disfrutar del arte si consigue, a su vez, cuidar de \u00e9l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACT OF VANDALISM IN THE CATHEDRAL OF VALENCIA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Cathedral of Valencia<\/strong> has reported to the General Directorate of Heritage of the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport and to the Heritage Protection Group of the Autonomous Police the vandalism attack on one of the capitals of the Romanesque door<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


This capital represents two episodes of the Old Testament separated by a small column, specifically two moments in the life of Moses: The Institution of the Judges of Israel and the Giving of the Tablets of the Law. The small column<\/strong> that separates the two scenes has been torn from the capital and has disappeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Romanesque door of the Cathedral, better known as L'Almoina <\/em>or Palau<\/em>, is a historical and artistic symbol of the 13th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salvador Vila, architect-conservator of the Cathedral points out that the destruction of this capital has been an incident produced by lack of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surveillance of the heritage is a fundamental fact to guarantee its correct conservation. However, the key must lie in the education of the population<\/strong> to achieve awareness and understanding that the heritage represents a common population and only this community will be able to enjoy the art if it manages, in turn, to take care of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
