EL COSTE CULTURAL EN LA GUERRA DE UCRANIA SIGUE CRECIENDO<\/h3>\t\t\t

La Directora General de la UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay ha visitado en dos d\u00edas, el territorio de Kiev, Chernihiv y Odesa para reafirmar el apoyo de la Organizaci\u00f3n a la poblaci\u00f3n y poder avanzar as\u00ed, en la reconstrucci\u00f3n cultural del pa\u00eds. El Presidente Zelensky felicit\u00f3 a la UNESCO por los resultado concretos ofrecidos en relaci\u00f3n a las medidas de emergencia adoptadas desde el inicio de la guerra.<\/p>\n

La UNESCO anunci\u00f3 que su apoyo continuar\u00e1 e incluso aumentar\u00e1 en 2023, haciendo especial hincapi\u00e9 en que la Organizaci\u00f3n recaudar\u00e1 en las pr\u00f3ximas semanas m\u00e1s de 10 millones de d\u00f3lares de financiaci\u00f3n adicional para responder a todas las necesidades educativas, reforzando el apoyo psicosocial.<\/p>\n

La Directora General de la UNESCO present\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n, algunos datos sobre el impacto de la guerra en los \u00e1mbitos de cultura durante el a\u00f1o pasado. El balance realizado por la Organizaci\u00f3n indica que los da\u00f1os materiales ascienden a 2.600 millones de d\u00f3lares. \u201cPara reconstruir, pero tambi\u00e9n para reconducir la situaci\u00f3n, ser\u00e1 necesario invertir 6.900 millones de d\u00f3lares en el sector cultural de Ucrania en los pr\u00f3ximos diez a\u00f1os\u201d, declar\u00f3 Audrey Azoulay.<\/p>\n

La Directora de la Organizaci\u00f3n finaliz\u00f3 su visita a Ucrania en Odesa, cuyo centro hist\u00f3rico fue inscrito por la UNESCO en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial en Peligro a finales de enero de este a\u00f1o. Tras esta inscripci\u00f3n, la UNESCO pretende reforzar m\u00e1s las acciones sobre el terreno, dando prioridad a la preservaci\u00f3n y digitalizaci\u00f3n del patrimonio art\u00edstico y documental, as\u00ed como a la protecci\u00f3n de los edificios patrimoniales en peligro por el fuego de artiller\u00eda.<\/p>\n

La guerra est\u00e1 dejando un gran coste humano y cultural contra el que est\u00e1n luchando y participando numerosas organizaciones en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

THE CULTURAL COST IN THE UKRAINIAN WAR CONTINUES TO GROW<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, visited the territory of Kiev, Chernihiv and Odessa in two days to reaffirm the Organization’s support to the population and to make progress in the cultural reconstruction of the country. President Zelensky congratulated UNESCO for the concrete results achieved in relation to the emergency measures taken since the beginning of the war.<\/p>\n

UNESCO announced that its support will continue and even increase in 2023, stressing in particular that the Organization will raise in the coming weeks more than $10 million in additional funding to respond to all educational needs, reinforcing psychosocial support.<\/p>\n

The Director-General of UNESCO also presented some data on the impact of the war on the fields of culture over the past year. The Organization’s assessment indicates that material damage amounted to $2.6 billion. “In order to rebuild, but also to bring the situation back on track, it will be necessary to invest $6.9 billion in Ukraine’s cultural sector over the next ten years,” said Audrey Azoulay.<\/p>\n

The Director of the Organization ended her visit to Ukraine in Odessa, whose historic center was inscribed by UNESCO on the List of World Heritage in Danger at the end of January this year. Following this inscription, UNESCO intends to further strengthen actions on the ground, giving priority to the preservation and digitization of artistic and documentary heritage, as well as to the protection of heritage buildings endangered by artillery fire.<\/p>\n

The war is leaving a heavy human and cultural toll against which numerous organizations around the world are fighting and participating.<\/p>\n
