Esta celebraci\u00f3n lleva en el calendario desde 1984 y fue impulsada por el <strong>Consejo Internacional de Monumentos y Sitios (ICOMOS) junto con la aprobaci\u00f3n de la UNESCO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Esta efem\u00e9ride tiene como objetivo sensibilizar y dar a conocer la riqueza que posee la humanidad en cuanto a patrimonios hist\u00f3ricos, as\u00ed como fomentar su conservaci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El lema de este D\u00eda Internacional en el a\u00f1o 2023 en el que nos encontramos es \u201cPatrimonio en transformaci\u00f3n\u201d. Cada uno de los lemas se adapta al contexto hist\u00f3rico y social que viven los Monumentos y Sitios cada a\u00f1o. Recordando algunos lemas anteriores, se encuentra el de \u201cPatrimonio y Clima\u201d en 2022, \u201cPasados complejos, futuros diversos\u201d en 2021 o \u201cPaisajes Rurales\u201d en 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, el lema de este a\u00f1o pretende visibilizar las formas en las que el patrimonio puede ofrecer estrategias para la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica inclusiva, transformadora y justa. ICOMOS promueve, de esta manera, el conocimiento de c\u00f3mo los sistemas y formas tradicionales de la cultura se vinculan con la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica y c\u00f3mo una perspectiva del patrimonio cultural puede llegar a apoyar la protecci\u00f3n de las comunidades vulnerables.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos monumentos y sitios presentan miles de a\u00f1os de antig\u00fcedad, llegando incluso a equipararse con la existencia de los seres humanos. Todos ellos tienen una gran importancia simb\u00f3lica que destaca por su significaci\u00f3n. Los monumentos cuentan con miles de visitas al a\u00f1o, lo que permite hacernos recordar o conocer momentos no vividos.<\/p>\n<p>__<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>International Day for Monuments and Sites was celebrated on April 18<\/strong>. This celebration has been on the calendar since 1984 and was promoted by the <strong>International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) with the approval of UNESCO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This event aims to raise awareness and publicize the wealth that humanity possesses in terms of historical heritage, as well as to promote its conservation and protection.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this International Day in the year 2023 in which we find ourselves is &#8220;Heritage in transformation&#8221;. Each of the slogans is adapted to the historical and social context experienced by the Monuments and Sites each year. Recalling some previous slogans, there is &#8220;Heritage and Climate&#8221; in 2022, &#8220;Complex Pasts, Diverse Futures&#8221; in 2021 or &#8220;Rural Landscapes&#8221; in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>However, this year&#8217;s theme aims to make visible the ways in which heritage can offer strategies for inclusive, transformative and just climate action. ICOMOS thus promotes awareness of how traditional systems and forms of culture link to climate action and how a cultural heritage perspective can come to support the protection of vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n<p>Some monuments and sites are thousands of years old, even dating back to the existence of human beings. All of them have great symbolic importance that stands out for their significance.
