El ICOM muestra su preocupaci\u00f3n sobre las consecuencias humanitarias que el conflicto ha tenido sobre la poblaci\u00f3n, incluyendo p\u00e9rdidas de vidas y desplazamiento de personas.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, el ICOM tambi\u00e9n deplora las implicaciones del descenso de la seguridad de los profesionales de los museos, colecciones y el patrimonio cultural del pa\u00eds. Ante esta situaci\u00f3n, algunos directores de museos de Sud\u00e1n han realizado peticiones de ayuda.<\/p>\n<p>Algunos comit\u00e9s del ICOM en la regi\u00f3n, como ICOM ARAB e ICOM Egipto ya han expresado su solidaridad con el pueblo sudan\u00e9s, tomando medidas activas para apoyar al sector. La NCAM (Corporaci\u00f3n Nacional de Antig\u00fcedades y Museos) realiz\u00f3 un taller y foro de emergencia que se celebr\u00f3 en el Museo del ni\u00f1o en El Cairo, reuniendo a expertos y representantes de instituciones, organizaciones culturales internacionales y comit\u00e9s para identificar las necesidades actuales.<\/p>\n<p>El ICOM declara que toda crisis hace que el patrimonio cultural sea vulnerable, especialmente en riesgos de robo, saqueo o destrucci\u00f3n. Por ello, advierte a todas las partes de la importancia de vigilar el posible aumento de tr\u00e1fico de objetos culturales que provengan de Sud\u00e1n y de la regi\u00f3n en general. Adem\u00e1s, la organizaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n condena todos los atentados contra museos y recuerda las obligaciones jur\u00eddicas internacionales de todos los gobiernos nacionales de proteger el patrimonio cultural mobiliario descrito en la Convenci\u00f3n de la UNESCO de 1970 para las Medidas que Deben Adoptarse para Prohibir e Impedir la Importaci\u00f3n, Exportaci\u00f3n y la Transferencia de Propiedad Il\u00edcitas de Bienes Culturales y el Convenio de UNIDROIT de 1995 sobre los Bienes Culturales Robados o Exportados Il\u00edcitamente.<\/p>\n<p>UNESCO, ICCROM e ICOMOS han expresado tambi\u00e9n su preocupaci\u00f3n por esta situaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>__<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMMUNIQU\u00c9 ICOM ON THE SITUATION IN SUDAN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The International Council of Museums<\/strong> has been making efforts since mid-April 2023 to attach verified information on the <strong>situation in Sudan<\/strong>. ICOM is concerned about the humanitarian consequences that the conflict has had on the population, including loss of life and displacement of people.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, ICOM also deplores the implications of the decline in the security of museum professionals, collections and cultural heritage in the country. Faced with this situation, some museum directors in Sudan have made appeals for assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Some ICOM committees in the region, such as ICOM ARAB and ICOM Egypt have already expressed their solidarity with the Sudanese people, taking active steps to support the sector. NCAM (National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums) held an emergency workshop and forum held at the Children&#8217;s Museum in Cairo, bringing together experts and representatives of institutions, international cultural organizations and committees to identify current needs.<\/p>\n<p>ICOM states that any crisis makes cultural heritage vulnerable, especially at risk of theft, looting or destruction. It therefore warns all parties of the importance of monitoring the possible increase in trafficking of cultural objects coming from Sudan and the region in general.
