Esta edificaci\u00f3n cuenta con m\u00e1s de 840 a\u00f1os y fue atacada en 2017.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Educaci\u00f3n, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO)<\/strong> ha dado un gran paso para proceder y garantizar la completa restauraci\u00f3n de la Gran Mezquita del Nuri de Mosul, que es s\u00edmbolo hist\u00f3rico y arquitect\u00f3nico de esta ciudad del norte de Irak. Este monumento fue destruido en 2017 por el Estado Isl\u00e1mico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cRevivir el esp\u00edritu de Mosul\u201d<\/strong> es un proyecto de la UNESCO que ha conseguido realizar esta reconstrucci\u00f3n. De esta manera, la organizaci\u00f3n se ha encargado de la tarea de restauraci\u00f3n desde las ruinas, as\u00ed como la adhesi\u00f3n a la integridad hist\u00f3rica de las estructuras.<\/p>\n<p>La UNESCO comenz\u00f3 a trabajar en el edificio en octubre de 2019, retirando minas terrestres en las ruinas de Al Nuri y estabilizando las fr\u00e1giles estructuras que quedaban en pie. A mediados de noviembre, una vez estaba el entorno de la mezquita liberado de escombros, se comenzaron las labores de estabilizaci\u00f3n de la base de la c\u00fapula y sus pilares.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto ha sido posible gracias al apoyo de los Emiratos \u00c1rabes Unidos y la coordinaci\u00f3n de las labores con el Gobierno de Irak, expertos internacionales y socios locales.<\/p>\n<p>__<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;REVIVING THE SPIRIT OF MOSUL&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Mosul Mosque<\/strong> represents a historical symbol and was destroyed by the Islamic State. This building is more than 840 years old and was attacked in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)<\/strong> has taken a major step to proceed and ensure the complete restoration of the Great Mosque of the Nuri in Mosul, which is a historical and architectural symbol of this city in northern Iraq. This monument was destroyed in 2017 by the Islamic State.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Reviving the Spirit of Mosul&#8221;<\/strong> is a UNESCO project that has succeeded in carrying out this reconstruction. In this way, the organization has taken on the task of restoration from the ruins, as well as adhering to the historical integrity of the structures.<\/p>\n<p>UNESCO began work on the building in October 2019, removing landmines in the ruins of Al Nuri and stabilizing the fragile structures that were left standing.
