A\u00d1O SOROLLA<\/h3>\t\t\t

Este a\u00f1o 2023 se celebra el centenario de la muerte de uno de los pintores valencianos m\u00e1s ilustres y reconocidos a nivel internacional en el mundo del arte.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla<\/strong> naci\u00f3 el 27 de febrero de 1863 y falleci\u00f3 el 10 de agosto de 1923. De esta manera, se conmemora el centenario, declarando el 2023 como el \u201cA\u00f1o Sorolla\u201d.<\/p>\n

El a\u00f1o Sorolla comenz\u00f3 oficialmente el 17 de febrero de 2023. La efem\u00e9ride de los cien a\u00f1os de la muerte del pintor valenciano Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla Bastida viene acompa\u00f1ada de eventos como conferencias, exposiciones y otros acontecimientos que se han ido dando durante este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Cabe recordar que Sorolla falleci\u00f3 el 10 de agosto de 1923 en la casa familiar de veraneo en la Sierra de Guadarrama, con 60 a\u00f1os debido a una hemiplej\u00eda que sufr\u00eda desde hac\u00eda tiempo. Este evento ha sido declarado \u201cAcontecimiento de Inter\u00e9s P\u00fablico\u201d por el Ministerio de Cultura.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla, bautizado como el Pintor de la Luz, es el pintor m\u00e1s universal que ha dado Valencia, dejando se\u00f1as de identidad est\u00e9tica de la ciudad. Sorolla estudi\u00f3 en la Escuela de Artesanos de Valencia y en la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos, lugar que le permiti\u00f3 experimentar un progreso y conocer las vanguardias europeas. Sin embargo, \u00e9l mostr\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente su inquietud por reflejar la luz del Mediterr\u00e1neo en escenas cotidianas de su ciudad, en un estilo que se denomin\u00f3 luminismo.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla era un enamorado de la ciudad de Valencia y cabe mencionar algunas de las localizaciones que formaron parte del escenario de muchas de sus obras. Desde las playas urbanas de Valencia hasta la \u201cCasa dels Bous\u201d (C\/Isabel de Villena, 156), donde se guardaban los animales que arrastraban las barcas desde el mar hasta la orilla. Aparte de la est\u00e9tica marinera que Sorolla plasmaba en sus cuadros, tambi\u00e9n mostr\u00f3 especial devoci\u00f3n por la Lonja de la Seda, la Catedral de Valencia, la casa natalicia de San Vicente Ferrer o el casalicio de la Virgen de los Desamparos en el Puente del mar, entre muchos otros.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla representa una de las m\u00e1ximas expresiones art\u00edsticas en las que se puede conocer el valioso patrimonio valenciano y los escenarios m\u00e1s caracter\u00edsticos del Mediterr\u00e1neo, llenos de una luz propia a trav\u00e9s de la cual, Sorolla admiraba su ciudad.<\/p>\n

SOROLLA YEAR<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year 2023 marks the centenary of the death of one of the most illustrious and internationally recognized Valencian painters in the art world.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla<\/strong> was born on February 27, 1863 and died on August 10, 1923. Thus, the centenary is commemorated, declaring 2023 as the “Sorolla Year”.<\/p>\n

The Sorolla Year officially began on February 17, 2023. The 100th anniversary of the death of the Valencian painter Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla Bastida is accompanied by events such as conferences, exhibitions and other events that have been taking place during this year.<\/p>\n

It is worth remembering that Sorolla died on August 10, 1923 in the family summer home in the Sierra de Guadarrama, at the age of 60 due to a hemiplegia he had been suffering from for some time. This event has been declared an “Event of Public Interest” by the Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla, baptized as the Painter of Light, is the most universal painter that Valencia has given, leaving signs of aesthetic identity of the city. Sorolla studied at the School of Artisans of Valencia and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos, a place that allowed him to experience progress and learn about the European avant-garde. However, he quickly showed his interest in reflecting the light of the Mediterranean in everyday scenes of his city, in a style that was called luminism.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla was in love with the city of Valencia and it is worth mentioning some of the locations that formed part of the scenery of many of his works. From the urban beaches of Valencia to the “Casa dels Bous” (C\/Isabel de Villena, 156), where the animals that dragged the boats from the sea to the shore were kept. Apart from the seafaring aesthetics that Sorolla captured in his paintings, he also showed special devotion for the Lonja de la Seda, the Cathedral of Valencia, the birthplace of San Vicente Ferrer or the house of the Virgen de los Desamparos in the Puente del Mar, among many others.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla represents one of the maximum artistic expressions in which the valuable Valencian heritage and the most characteristic sceneries of the Mediterranean can be known, full of their own light through which Sorolla admired his city.<\/p>\n
