D\u00cdA INTERNACIONAL CONTRA EL TR\u00c1FICO IL\u00cdCITO DE BIENES CULTURALES<\/h3>\t\t\t

El 14 de noviembre<\/strong> se celebra el D\u00eda Internacional contra el Tr\u00e1fico Il\u00edcito de Bienes Culturales<\/strong>. Esta efem\u00e9ride pretende concienciar acerca del robo, tr\u00e1fico y comercio ilegal de bienes culturales.<\/p>\n

Este tipo de delitos es un problema mundial, que causa la p\u00e9rdida de la cultura, identidad e historia de grupos de personas en el momento en que se producen.<\/p>\n

En 2023, la UNESCO y la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas contra la Droga y el Delito (UNODC) considera que el delito de tr\u00e1fico il\u00edcito de obras de arte es un asunto de seguridad global y, este a\u00f1o, lo han hecho bajo el lema \u201cProtege tu legado\u201d.<\/p>\n

En cuanto a cifras y datos recogidos, la Asociaci\u00f3n de Museos estima que las ganancias del comercio il\u00edcito de patrimonio oscilan entre 225 y 3.000 millones de d\u00f3lares por a\u00f1o. Asimismo, la INTERPOL calcula una cifra entre 300 y 600 millones de d\u00f3lares por a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Esta efem\u00e9ride fue establecida por la UNESCO en 2019 con la finalidad de frenar acciones de delito contra la cultura, la identidad y la historia de las naciones, haciendo evidente la necesidad de proteger el patrimonio cultural e hist\u00f3rico para las futuras generaciones. En la 40\u00aa Conferencia General de la UNESCO (2019), donde naci\u00f3 este D\u00eda Internacional, tambi\u00e9n se aprob\u00f3 una serie de medidas para impedir la importaci\u00f3n, la exportaci\u00f3n y la transferencia de propiedad il\u00edcitas de bienes culturales.<\/p>\n

Audrey Azoulay, Directora General de la UNESCO, con motivo de la celebraci\u00f3n de este D\u00eda Internacional, ha emitido las siguientes palabras:<\/p>\n

\u201cEn este 14 de noviembre, la UNESCO quiere hacer un llamamiento a todas y todos para que sean conscientes de que robar, vender o comprar una obra saqueada es participar en el saqueo del patrimonio y la memoria de los pueblos\u201d.<\/p>\n

DAY AGAINSTOLLICIT TRAFFICKING IN CULTURAL PROPERTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

November 14<\/strong> marks the International Day against Illicit Trafficking in Cultural Property<\/strong>. This event aims to raise awareness about the theft, trafficking and illegal trade of cultural property.
\nThis type of crime is a global problem, causing the loss of culture, identity and history of groups of people as they occur.
\nIn 2023, UNESCO and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) consider the crime of illicit trafficking in works of art as a global security issue and, this year, they have done so under the slogan “Protect your legacy”.
\nIn terms of figures and data collected, the Museums Association estimates that profits from the illicit heritage trade range between US$225 million and US$3 billion per year. Likewise, INTERPOL estimates a figure between 300 and 600 million dollars per year.
\nThis ephemeris was established by UNESCO in 2019 with the aim of curbing criminal actions against the culture, identity and history of nations, making evident the need to protect cultural and historical heritage for future generations. The 40th UNESCO General Conference (2019), where this International Day was born, also approved a series of measures to prevent the illicit import, export and transfer of ownership of cultural property.<\/p>\n

Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, on the occasion of the celebration of this International Day, has issued the following words:
\n“On this November 14, UNESCO would like to appeal to everyone to be aware that to steal, sell or buy a looted work is to participate in the plundering of the heritage and memory of peoples.”<\/p>\n
