{"id":8705,"date":"2024-01-15T11:15:37","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T11:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/catunescoforum.upv.es\/?p=8705"},"modified":"2024-01-17T10:47:06","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T10:47:06","slug":"hornoarabe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/catunescoforum.upv.es\/?p=8705","title":{"rendered":"UN HORNO \u00c1RABE FAMILIAR VUELVE A LA VIDA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-8705\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-8705-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div class=\"panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-8705-0\" ><div id=\"pgc-8705-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-8705-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_media_image panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">ACTUALIDAD<\/h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"976\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/catunescoforum.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/1695891001733.jpg\" class=\"image wp-image-8716  attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" style=\"max-width: 100%; height: auto;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/catunescoforum.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/1695891001733.jpg 976w, https:\/\/catunescoforum.upv.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/1695891001733-768x496.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 976px) 100vw, 976px\" \/><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-8705-1\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div class=\"panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-8705-1\" ><div id=\"pgc-8705-1-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-8705-1-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"1\" ><div class=\"panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-8705-1-0-0\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">UN HORNO \u00c1RABE FAMILIAR VUELVE A LA VIDA<\/h3>\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p><strong>Un antiguo horno \u00e1rabe vuelve a estar en funcionamiento gracias a la alfarer\u00eda de Melchor Tito de \u00dabeda y Factum Arte, recuperando as\u00ed, una tradici\u00f3n ancestral y abriendo una nueva era en este oficio, que resulta milenario.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A sus 82 a\u00f1os, Tito, hijo y padre de maestros alfareros, han recobrado la ilusi\u00f3n por este oficio gracias a la reactivaci\u00f3n del horno \u00e1rabe del alfar familiar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCre\u00eda que nunca m\u00e1s iba a ver este horno repleto de piezas para su cocci\u00f3n, ha sido algo emocionante, sobre todo ver a mi nieta con tanta ilusi\u00f3n siguiendo el proceso de cocci\u00f3n de las piezas\u201d, explica Tito.<\/p>\n<p>El horno llevaba inactivo casi dos d\u00e9cadas debido a que las nuevas demandas de los mercados ya no lo hac\u00edan competitivo.<\/p>\n<p>El pasado 29 de septiembre de 2023, este horno \u00e1rabe volvi\u00f3 a estar en funcionamiento, dando forma de manera conjunta a 5.000 piezas cer\u00e1micas en un proceso de cocci\u00f3n que se prolong\u00f3 durante 36 horas, con temperaturas por encima de los 1.000 grados y consumiendo 6.000 kilos de orujo en su combusti\u00f3n y 4.000 de le\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>La alfarer\u00eda forma parte de la tradici\u00f3n de la Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica desde hace 8.000 a\u00f1os. En \u00dabeda, poco despu\u00e9s de la conquista cristiana, hacia 1233, ya existen documentos sobre trabajos de tejeros y olleros. Con este horno \u00e1rabe, los alfareros locales vuelven a trabajar el barro como se hac\u00eda hace m\u00e1s de 300 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dabeda, en 2023, fue declarada como Bien de Inter\u00e9s Cultural (BIC) con la tipolog\u00eda de Actividad de Inter\u00e9s Etnol\u00f3gico por la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. As\u00ed, la alfarer\u00eda es una t\u00e9cnica artesanal muy exigente, tanto en el momento de concepci\u00f3n de las piezas, como en el resultado. Adem\u00e1s, es un sector floreciente en toda Andaluc\u00eda, una de las comunidades con mayor n\u00famero de artesanos y talleres de Espa\u00f1a, con casi 7.000 empresas (m\u00e1s del 18% del conjunto del pa\u00eds) y que proporciona trabajo a unas 20.000 personas, suponiendo en torno al 19% de todo el empleo del sector a nivel nacional.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, dentro del Plan Integral de Andaluc\u00eda para la mejora del sector, la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda ha puesto en marcha el proyecto \u201cArtesan\u00eda con A de Andaluc\u00eda\u201d. De esta manera, casos como la reactivaci\u00f3n de este horno \u00e1rabe, permitir\u00e1 conservar la tradici\u00f3n mirando hacia un futuro enriquecedor para esta pr\u00e1ctica ancestral.<br \/>\n__<\/p>\n<p>An old Arabic kiln is back in operation thanks to the pottery of Melchor Tito de \u00dabeda and Factum Arte, thus recovering an ancestral tradition and opening a new era in this millenary craft.<br \/>\nAt 82 years old, Tito, son and father of master potters, has regained his enthusiasm for this craft thanks to the reactivation of the Arabic kiln in the family pottery.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I thought I was never going to see this kiln full of pieces for firing again, it has been exciting, especially to see my granddaughter with such enthusiasm following the firing process&#8221;, explains Tito.<br \/>\nThe kiln had been inactive for almost two decades because the new market demands no longer made it competitive.<\/p>\n<p>On 29 September 2023, this Arabic kiln was back in operation, shaping 5,000 ceramic pieces in a firing process that lasted 36 hours, with temperatures of over 1,000 degrees and consuming 6,000 kilos of pomace and 4,000 kilos of firewood.<\/p>\n<p>Pottery has been a part of the Iberian Peninsula&#8217;s tradition for 8,000 years. In \u00dabeda, shortly after the Christian conquest, around 1233, there are already documents about the work of potters and weavers. With this Arab oven, the local potters return to working clay as they did more than 300 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dabeda, in 2023, was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) with the typology of Activity of Ethnological Interest by the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. Thus, pottery is a very demanding craft technique, both in the moment of conception of the pieces, as well as in the result. Moreover, it is a flourishing sector throughout Andalusia, one of the communities with the highest number of craftsmen and workshops in Spain, with almost 7,000 companies (more than 18% of the country as a whole) and which provides work for some 20,000 people, accounting for around 19% of all employment in the sector at national level.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, within the Andalusian Integral Plan for the improvement of the sector, the Andalusian Regional Government has launched the project &#8220;Artesan\u00eda con A de Andaluc\u00eda&#8221; (Crafts with A for Andalusia).
