CONFERENCIA DEL DECENIO DEL OC\u00c9ANO 2024<\/h3>\t\t\t

La semana pasada, del\u00a010 al 12 de abril<\/strong>, se celebr\u00f3 en\u00a0Barcelona<\/strong>\u00a0la esperada\u00a0Conferencia del Decenio del Oc\u00e9ano 2024<\/strong>. Este encuentro fue organizado por la Comisi\u00f3n Oceanogr\u00e1fica Intergubernamental de la\u00a0UNESCO (COI\/UNESCO)<\/strong>\u00a0y reuni\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 1500 participantes de 124 pa\u00edses distintos; 3000 telespectadores y 120 eventos sat\u00e9lite. Se trata as\u00ed, de la culminaci\u00f3n de la Semana del Decenio del Oc\u00e9ano.<\/p>\n

El resultado de este encuentro internacional se materializa en la Declaraci\u00f3n de Barcelona, documento que identifica las prioridades para la generaci\u00f3n de conocimientos y ciencia en el marco de la disciplina oce\u00e1nica. Adem\u00e1s, el Ayuntamiento y el Puerto de Barcelona, se han comprometido a crear un Centro de Colaboraci\u00f3n del Decenio, dedicado espec\u00edficamente a la econom\u00eda azul.<\/p>\n

Entre los retos que se pretenden abordar en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os, se encuentra el dise\u00f1o y la entrega de la ciencia y el conocimiento para entender la distribuci\u00f3n global, la salud humana, los impactos de la contaminaci\u00f3n marina en los ecosistemas, as\u00ed como fortalecer la producci\u00f3n sostenible de alimentos acu\u00e1ticos, fomentando proyectos de econom\u00eda oce\u00e1nica sostenibles al clima que permitan la vigilancia.<\/p>\n

Esta conferencia abarc\u00f3 una amplia gama de temas divididos en cuatro pilares principales: ciencia y soluciones para un oc\u00e9ano limpio, sano y resiliente; ciencia y soluciones para una econom\u00eda oce\u00e1nica sostenible y resiliente; ciencia y soluciones para un oc\u00e9ano seguro y predecible; y un oc\u00e9ano inspirador y atractivo para todos.<\/p>\n

A su vez, una de las acciones m\u00e1s importantes es la de la transmisi\u00f3n y divulgaci\u00f3n de conocimiento, haciendo especial hincapi\u00e9 en la infancia y juventud, quienes conforman el futuro de la sociedad. De esta manera, este encuentro resalta la importancia de proyectos que puedan traducir un mensaje claro a los m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes, creando una conciencia sostenible que pueda proyectarse hacia un futuro mejor.<\/p>\n

Last week, from\u00a0April 10-12<\/strong>, the long-awaited\u00a0Decade of the Ocean 2024 Conference<\/strong>\u00a0was held in\u00a0Barcelona<\/strong>. This meeting was organized by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC\/UNESCO) and brought together more than 1500 participants from 124 different countries; 3000 viewers and 120 satellite events. It was the culmination of the Decade of the Ocean Week.<\/p>\n

The result of this international meeting is the Barcelona Declaration, a document that identifies the priorities for the generation of knowledge and science within the framework of the ocean discipline. In addition, the City Council and the Port of Barcelona have committed to create a Decade Collaboration Center, specifically dedicated to the blue economy.<\/p>\n

Among the challenges to be addressed in the coming years are the design and delivery of science and knowledge to understand global distribution, human health, the impacts of marine pollution on ecosystems, as well as strengthening sustainable aquatic food production, fostering climate-sustainable ocean economy projects that enable monitoring.<\/p>\n

This conference covered a wide range of topics divided into four main pillars: science and solutions for a clean, healthy and resilient ocean; science and solutions for a sustainable and resilient ocean economy; science and solutions for a safe and predictable ocean; and an inspiring and attractive ocean for all.
\nIn turn, one of the most important actions is the transmission and dissemination of knowledge, with special emphasis on children and youth, who make up the future of society. In this way, this meeting highlights the importance of projects that can translate a clear message to the youngest, creating a sustainable conscience that can be projected towards a better future.<\/p>\n
