D\u00cdA INTERNACIONAL DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS Y D\u00cdA INTERNACIONAL CONTRA EL CAMBIO CLIM\u00c1TICO<\/h3>\t\t\t

Hoy, 24 de octubre, se conmemora el D\u00eda Internacional de las Naciones Unidas<\/strong>, una fecha que marca el aniversario de la fundaci\u00f3n de la ONU en 1945 tras la ratificaci\u00f3n de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas. Este d\u00eda es una oportunidad para reflexionar sobre los logros de la organizaci\u00f3n y para reafirmar el compromiso global con la paz, los derechos humanos, la justicia y el desarrollo sostenible.<\/p>\n

En un momento en que el mundo enfrenta m\u00faltiples desaf\u00edos, desde el cambio clim\u00e1tico hasta la desigualdad econ\u00f3mica y los conflictos internacionales, la ONU sigue siendo un pilar clave en la b\u00fasqueda de soluciones multilaterales. Este a\u00f1o, las conmemoraciones se centran en fortalecer la cooperaci\u00f3n internacional y en promover los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), que son cruciales para abordar problemas globales como la pobreza, el hambre y la degradaci\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n

El Secretario General de la ONU, Ant\u00f3nio Guterres, ha destacado en su mensaje anual la importancia de la solidaridad global en tiempos de crisis, y ha pedido a los l\u00edderes mundiales que redoblen sus esfuerzos para encontrar soluciones justas y equitativas a los problemas que aquejan al mundo.<\/p>\n

Este d\u00eda no solo reconoce la labor diplom\u00e1tica de la ONU, sino que tambi\u00e9n invita a ciudadanos de todo el mundo a involucrarse en iniciativas locales y globales que promuevan un futuro m\u00e1s sostenible y equitativo. Este D\u00eda Internacional de las Naciones Unidas es un recordatorio de que, a pesar de los desaf\u00edos, la cooperaci\u00f3n internacional y el multilateralismo siguen siendo las herramientas m\u00e1s poderosas para enfrentar los problemas globales y construir un futuro mejor para todos.<\/p>\n

A su vez, hoy tambi\u00e9n se celebra el D\u00eda Internacional contra el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico<\/strong>, una jornada promovida por la ONU con el objetivo de crear conciencia sobre la urgente necesidad de tomar medidas frente a la crisis clim\u00e1tica que amenaza el futuro del planeta. Este d\u00eda sirve para recordar que el cambio clim\u00e1tico es una realidad innegable que ya est\u00e1 afectando a millones de personas, ecosistemas y econom\u00edas en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n

En la actualidad, la temperatura global ha aumentado en promedio 1,2 grados Celsius desde la \u00e9poca preindustrial, seg\u00fan informes recientes del Panel Intergubernamental sobre Cambio Clim\u00e1tico (IPCC). Este aumento ha generado fen\u00f3menos meteorol\u00f3gicos extremos como olas de calor, huracanes, incendios forestales y el deshielo acelerado de los polos, con consecuencias devastadoras para la biodiversidad y la seguridad alimentaria global.<\/p>\n

El Acuerdo de Par\u00eds, firmado en 2015, es uno de los pilares de la lucha internacional contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico, con el compromiso de limitar el calentamiento global a 1,5 grados Celsius. Sin embargo, informes recientes sugieren que los esfuerzos actuales no son suficientes, y que las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero contin\u00faan aumentando en muchos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

Este D\u00eda Internacional contra el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico se centra en llamar a la acci\u00f3n inmediata por parte de gobiernos, empresas y ciudadanos. Entre las soluciones propuestas est\u00e1n la transici\u00f3n a energ\u00edas renovables, la conservaci\u00f3n de los bosques, la adopci\u00f3n de pr\u00e1cticas agr\u00edcolas sostenibles y la promoci\u00f3n de un consumo responsable.<\/p>\n

El Secretario General de la ONU, Ant\u00f3nio Guterres, ha reiterado la necesidad de incrementar la ambici\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica y acelerar los compromisos para reducir las emisiones de carbono. \u201cEstamos al borde de un abismo clim\u00e1tico, pero a\u00fan podemos evitar los peores efectos si actuamos con determinaci\u00f3n y rapidez\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 en su mensaje oficial.<\/p>\n

En muchos pa\u00edses se est\u00e1n llevando a cabo eventos para conmemorar este d\u00eda, como marchas, conferencias y campa\u00f1as educativas, en un esfuerzo por sensibilizar a la poblaci\u00f3n sobre la importancia de cuidar el planeta y exigir a los l\u00edderes que prioricen la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n

This day serves as a reminder that climate change is an undeniable reality that is already affecting millions of people, ecosystems, and economies worldwide.<\/p>\n

Currently, global temperatures have risen by an average of 1.2 degrees Celsius since the pre-industrial era, according to recent reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). This increase has led to extreme weather events such as heatwaves, hurricanes, wildfires, and the accelerated melting of the poles, with devastating consequences for biodiversity and global food security.<\/p>\n

The Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, is one of the cornerstones of the international fight against climate change, with a commitment to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. However, recent reports suggest that current efforts are insufficient, and greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise in many countries.<\/p>\n

This International Day Against Climate Change focuses on calling for immediate action by governments, businesses, and citizens.
