CARTA DE ICOMOS-ESPAÑA PARA LA GESTIÓN INTEGRADA DEL ARTE RUPESTRE PREHISTÓRICO Y SUS PAISAJES
El 18 de abril, Día Internacional de los Monumentos y Sitios en España, se presentó la Carta de ICOMOS-España para la Gestión Integrada del Arte Rupestre Prehistórico y sus Paisajes.
Este documento doctrinal pretende contribuir a la búsqueda de alternativas de gestión patrimonial que contemplen la resiliencia climática, el desarrollo sostenible y la participación activa de las comunidades locales.
El arte rupestre tiene una característica peculiar que es, la relación indisoluble entre el patrimonio y el paisaje. Como consecuencia, la transformación o desaparición de muchos paisajes tradicionales puede llegar a deformar la percepción, volviendo los elementos prehistóricos símbolos inconexos.
En España, el impacto más evidente de la situación climática actual sea, probablemente, la creciente frecuencia de incendios forestales, con los efectos demoledores que ellos conllevan.
En este contexto, ICOMOS-España ha presentado La Carta redactada por el Comité Científico Nacional de Arte Rupestre (CCNAR) y aprobada por su Asamblea General en Alicante el 11 de marzo de 2023.
Para la consecución de los objetivos marcados en el documento, la Carta propone siete principios y siete estrategias, coordinadas por una gestión integrada y participativa, contemplando por completo el estímulo de la investigación. La difusión de este tipo de bienes es la base sobre la que se proyectará la comunicación y educación patrimonial que facilitará la protección y conservación de los mismos.

ICOMOS-SPAIN CHARTER FOR THE INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF PREHISTORIC ROCK ART AND ITS LANDSCAPES
On April 18, International Day for Monuments and Sites in Spain, the ICOMOS-Spain Charter for the Integrated Management of Prehistoric Rock Art and its Landscapes was presented.
This doctrinal document aims to contribute to the search for heritage management alternatives that take into account climate resilience, sustainable development and the active participation of local communities.
Rock art has a peculiar characteristic, which is the indissoluble relationship between heritage and landscape. As a consequence, the transformation or disappearance of many traditional landscapes can distort perception, turning prehistoric elements into unconnected symbols.
In Spain, the most evident impact of the current climatic situation is probably the increasing frequency of forest fires, with the devastating effects they entail.
In this context, ICOMOS-Spain has presented the Charter drawn up by the National Scientific Committee for Rock Art (CCNAR) and approved by its General Assembly in Alicante on March 11, 2023.
To achieve the objectives set out in the document, the Charter proposes seven principles and seven strategies, coordinated by an integrated and participatory management, fully contemplating the stimulation of research. The dissemination of this type of property is the basis for the communication and heritage education that will facilitate its protection and conservation.
