Patrimonio Mundial “Federico Mayor Zaragoza”
La Fundación ADIPROPE presenta la Convocatoria de la primera edición del Premio Patrimonio Mundial “Federico Mayor Zaragoza”.
La Fundación ADIPROPE —entidad dedicada a la difusión, conservación y puesta en valor del Patrimonio Cultural, Natural e Inmaterial de España reconocido por la UNESCO— convoca la primera edición del Premio Patrimonio Mundial “Federico Mayor Zaragoza”. Este galardón nace con el propósito de rendir homenaje a la figura y legado del profesor Federico Mayor Zaragoza, exdirector general de la UNESCO (1987–1999), científico, catedrático y firme defensor de la paz a través de la cultura y la educación. Mayor Zaragoza fue, además, patrono fundador y presidente del Consejo Asesor de la Fundación ADIPROPE, así como Embajador Honorario del Patrimonio Mundial de España.
Objetivos del Premio
El galardón tiene una doble finalidad:
· Fomentar la conciencia social sobre la riqueza y diversidad del patrimonio español, promoviendo su conocimiento, conservación, valoración y difusión, con especial atención a las nuevas generaciones.
· Reconocer y proyectar los valores humanistas y culturales que inspiraron la trayectoria vital y profesional de Federico Mayor Zaragoza.
Candidaturas
Podrán presentar candidaturas tanto personas físicas como jurídicas —instituciones, asociaciones, fundaciones, empresas o equipos multidisciplinares— con domicilio o sede social en España, en países de la Unión Europea o en otros territorios donde se promueva el patrimonio español.
Las candidaturas podrán ser presentadas por los propios interesados o por terceros, en cuyo caso será necesario contar con la autorización expresa del propuesto, conforme a la normativa vigente en materia de protección de datos personales (Reglamento UE 2016/679 y Ley Orgánica 3/2018).
Presentación y plazos
El periodo de presentación de candidaturas se extenderá del 1 de septiembre al 25 de octubre de 2025.
Las propuestas deberán enviarse a la sede de la Fundación ADIPROPE (C/ Jorge Juan, 30 – 1ª planta, 28001 Madrid) o al correo electrónico info@adiprope.org, acompañadas de la Ficha de Candidatura disponible junto a las bases del premio.
La resolución y notificación de los galardonados se realizará durante la última semana de noviembre.
Criterios de valoración
El jurado tendrá en cuenta los siguientes aspectos:
· Relevancia del proyecto o acción desarrollada y su contribución a la proyección de la imagen de España.
· Impacto social y comunitario de la iniciativa.
· Originalidad, sostenibilidad y alcance educativo de las propuestas.
· Difusión y repercusión internacional de la labor o proyecto presentado.
Dotación del Premio
El Premio Patrimonio Mundial “Federico Mayor Zaragoza” consistirá en:
· Diploma acreditativo.
· Escultura original del artista Pedro Sandoval, que simboliza los valores de la paz, la cultura y la libertad, inspirados en la figura del Dr. Mayor Zaragoza.
· Los segundos y terceros clasificados recibirán un diploma acreditativo como finalistas.
Acto de entrega y difusión
El acto público de entrega del premio tendrá lugar el 17 de noviembre de 2025 en la Galería de las Colecciones Reales, en el Palacio Real de Madrid, en coincidencia con la conmemoración del Día del Patrimonio Mundial establecido por la UNESCO.
La relación oficial de premiados será publicada en la página web de la Fundación ADIPROPE y difundida a través de medios de comunicación y redes sociales, garantizando los principios de transparencia y buena gestión institucional.
Jurado
El jurado estará integrado por personalidades de reconocido prestigio en los ámbitos de la cultura, la historia, la arqueología, la arquitectura, la ingeniería y otras disciplinas relacionadas con la defensa y promoción del patrimonio español.
La composición del jurado se hará pública tras la finalización del plazo de presentación de candidaturas, quedando constituido el 30 de septiembre de 2025.
Las decisiones se adoptarán por mayoría simple y serán inapelables.
Protección de datos y derechos de imagen
Los datos personales aportados serán tratados por la Fundación ADIPROPE con la finalidad exclusiva de gestionar la convocatoria, conforme al Reglamento General de Protección de Datos (UE 2016/679) y la Ley Orgánica 3/2018.
La participación en el premio implica la autorización gratuita para el uso del nombre, imagen y voz de los galardonados en actos institucionales y materiales de difusión no comercial.
Aceptación de las bases
La presentación de una candidatura implica la aceptación íntegra de las bases de la convocatoria y de las decisiones del jurado y de la Fundación ADIPROPE.
Call for entries for the Federico Mayor Zaragoza World Heritage Prize
The ADIPROPE Foundation announces the first edition of the Federico Mayor Zaragoza World Heritage Award.
The ADIPROPE Foundation—an organisation dedicated to the dissemination, conservation and promotion of Spain's cultural, natural and intangible heritage recognised by UNESCO—announces the first edition of the Federico Mayor Zaragoza World Heritage Award. This award was created to pay tribute to the figure and legacy of Professor Federico Mayor Zaragoza, former Director-General of UNESCO (1987–1999), scientist, professor and staunch defender of peace through culture and education. Mayor Zaragoza was also the founding patron and president of the Advisory Council of the ADIPROPE Foundation, as well as Honorary Ambassador for World Heritage in Spain.
Objectives of the Award
The award has a dual purpose:
· To raise social awareness of the richness and diversity of Spanish heritage, promoting its knowledge, conservation, appreciation and dissemination, with special attention to the younger generations.
· To recognise and promote the humanistic and cultural values that inspired Federico Mayor Zaragoza's life and career.
Nominations
Nominations may be submitted by individuals or legal entities—institutions, associations, foundations, companies, or multidisciplinary teams—with their registered office or headquarters in Spain, in European Union countries, or in other territories where Spanish heritage is promoted.
Nominations may be submitted by the interested parties themselves or by third parties, in which case the express authorisation of the nominee will be required, in accordance with current regulations on personal data protection (EU Regulation 2016/679 and Organic Law 3/2018).
Submission and deadlines
The period for submitting nominations will run from 1 September to 25 October 2025.
Proposals must be sent to the headquarters of the ADIPROPE Foundation (C/ Jorge Juan, 30 – 1st floor, 28001 Madrid) or to the email address info@adiprope.org, accompanied by the Application Form available alongside the award rules.
The decision and notification of the winners will be made during the last week of November.
Evaluation criteria
The jury will take the following aspects into account:
· Relevance of the project or action carried out and its contribution to promoting the image of Spain.
· Social and community impact of the initiative.
· Originality, sustainability and educational scope of the proposals.
· Dissemination and international impact of the work or project presented.
Prize Award
The Federico Mayor Zaragoza World Heritage Prize will consist of:
· A certificate of recognition.
· An original sculpture by artist Pedro Sandoval, symbolising the values of peace, culture and freedom, inspired by the figure of Dr Mayor Zaragoza.
· The runners-up will receive a certificate of recognition as finalists.
Award ceremony and publicity
The public award ceremony will take place on 17 November 2025 at the Royal Collections Gallery in the Royal Palace of Madrid, coinciding with the commemoration of World Heritage Day established by UNESCO.
The official list of winners will be published on the ADIPROPE Foundation website and disseminated through the media and social networks, guaranteeing the principles of transparency and good institutional management.
Jury
The jury will be made up of renowned figures in the fields of culture, history, archaeology, architecture, engineering and other disciplines related to the defence and promotion of Spanish heritage.
The composition of the jury will be made public after the deadline for submitting nominations, and will be constituted on 30 September 2025.
Decisions will be taken by simple majority and will be final.
Data protection and image rights
The personal data provided will be processed by the ADIPROPE Foundation for the sole purpose of managing the call for entries, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and Organic Law 3/2018.
Participation in the award implies free authorisation for the use of the name, image and voice of the winners in institutional events and non-commercial promotional materials.
Acceptance of the rules
Submission of an application implies full acceptance of the rules of the call for entries and the decisions of the jury and the ADIPROPE Foundation.
