La Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible tiene numerosos objetivos. Uno de ellos es crear un entorno saludable para la ciencia impulsada por los derechos humanos. Es primordial que la libertad científica y la responsabilidad sean habilitadas y practicadas para el beneficio, no sólo de científicos, sino de la población en general. Para lograr el objetivo de la libertad y responsabilidad científica como derecho humano es necesario comprenderlo; de lo contrario, caería en el descuido total.
La ciencia debe estar basada en evidencias y debe ser libre de interferencias indebidas, así como accesible. Con este objetivo, se permitirá a los investigadores científicos reclamar y ejercer sus derechos y responsabilidades, creando el llamado entorno saludable para la ciencia.
Con la finalidad de cerrar la brecha de conocimiento entre investigadores científicos, políticos y otros, la UNESCO y el Campus Global ofrecen un curso abierto masivo en línea. Este MOOC es el primer compromiso educativo dedicado al enfoque basado en los derechos humanos para la libertad y la responsabilidad científicas.
El curso se lleva a cabo desde el 10 de octubre hasta el 13 de noviembre. La inscripción es gratis y se encuentra abierta hasta el 23 de octubre.

SCIENCE AND HUMAN RIGHTS" ONLINE COURSE
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has numerous goals. One of them is to create a healthy environment for science driven by human rights. It is paramount that scientific freedom and responsibility be enabled and practiced for the benefit, not only of scientists, but of the general population. To achieve the goal of scientific freedom and responsibility as a human right it is necessary to understand it; otherwise, it would fall into total neglect.
Science must be evidence-based and free from undue interference, as well as accessible. To this end, scientific researchers will be allowed to claim and exercise their rights and responsibilities, creating a so-called healthy environment for science.
In order to bridge the knowledge gap between scientific researchers, policy makers and others, UNESCO and the Global Campus offer a massive open online course. This MOOC is the first educational engagement dedicated to a human rights-based approach to scientific freedom and responsibility.
The course runs from October 10th through November 13th. Registration is free and open until October 23th.
