NUEVO CURSO ONLINE “ARTE, ARTESANÍA Y CRETIVIDAD SOSTENIBLES”
La llamada “moda rápida” ha provocado que la cantidad de ropa que se produce aumente, pero a la vez que aumenta la producción, también lo hace el número de prendas que se tiran.
La Unión Europea desea reducir los residuos textiles, prologando la vida de estos productos, aumentando su reciclado y modificando algunas condiciones poco sostenibles que se dan en el proceso de producción.
La industria textil y de confección mundial utilizó, en 2015, 79.000 millones de metros cúbicos de agua. Por poner un ejemplo, para elaborar una sola camiseta de algodón, se estima que se necesitan 2.700 litros de agua dulce, lo que equivale a la cantidad de agua que una persona bebe en dos años y medio.
Desde Ocean Art Project, proyecto de Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV, se pretende concienciar a jóvenes y niños sobre esta problemática, dando siempre una visión positiva de esperanza hacia el futuro.
Para ello, Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV ha lanzado, con María Victoria Vivancos Ramón, su directora, el MOOC “Arte, artesanía y creatividad sostenibles”. Este curso, disponible online y con opción de obtención de certificado, pretende concienciar sobre las 3R en el mundo textil, en el cual, a diario, y no sólo a nivel público, sino privado, se generan muchos residuos.

So-called “fast fashion” has led to an increase in the amount of clothing being produced, but as production increases, so does the number of garments being thrown away.
The European Union wants to reduce textile waste by extending the life of these products, increasing their recycling and modifying some unsustainable conditions in the production process.
The global textile and clothing industry used, in 2015, 79 billion cubic meters of water. To give an example, to produce a single cotton T-shirt, it is estimated that 2,700 liters of fresh water are needed, which is equivalent to the amount of water a person drinks in two and a half years.
Ocean Art Project, a project of UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV, aims to raise awareness among young people and children about this problem, always giving a positive vision of hope for the future.
To this end, UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV has launched, with María Victoria Vivancos Ramón, its director, the MOOC “Sustainable Art, Crafts and Creativity”. This course, available online and with the option of obtaining a certificate, aims to raise awareness of the 3Rs in the textile world, in which, daily, and not only at public but also at private level, a lot of waste is generated.
