La Universitat de València acoge un encuentro sobre patrimonio y emergencia climática

🔗 Inscripción previa: Patrimonio y emergencia climática: un reto común de la sociedad civil y de la gestión cultural

El próximo 6 de noviembre a las 17:00 horas, el Saló de Graus de la Facultat de Geografia i Història de la Universitat de València será sede del encuentro “Patrimonio y emergencia climática: un reto común de la sociedad civil y de la gestión cultural”, una actividad que podrá seguirse tanto de forma presencial como en línea.

La iniciativa forma parte de la campaña europea “Patrimonio en crisis”, promovida por European Young Museologists Link (EYML), y busca generar un espacio de reflexión sobre las consecuencias del cambio climático en el patrimonio cultural y natural. El encuentro pretende impulsar el diálogo entre profesionales, instituciones y ciudadanía para avanzar hacia modelos de gestión más sostenibles y resilientes.

El programa incluirá diversas mesas de debate y presentaciones de proyectos que abordarán, desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar, los desafíos que la crisis climática plantea al ámbito patrimonial. Entre las personas participantes figuran especialistas y representantes de entidades vinculadas a la conservación y la sostenibilidad:

· Mª Luisa Vázquez de Agredos Pascual, directora de Aromas Itinerarium Salutis.
· Carmen Marqués, embajadora del Pacto Climático Europeo
· Maisie Brewer, delegada CV de Talento para el Futuro.
· Pilar Espona, miembro del equipo de la Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural.
· Lucía Bouzas Naya, del Museu de la Festa d’Algemesí.
· Maya Montfort y María Sanz, proyecto Salvem les Fotos.
· Elena Vadillo, técnica superior de la Dirección General de Patrimonio Cultural y Bellas Artes.
· Así como miembros de los colectivos Towched y Huella M por la Sostenibilidad en Museos.

La jornada invita a repensar el papel del patrimonio como agente activo frente a la emergencia climática y a fortalecer la cooperación entre la comunidad universitaria, los jóvenes profesionales y las organizaciones culturales.

The University of Valencia hosts a meeting on heritage and climate emergency

Pre-registration: Heritage and climate emergency: a common challenge for civil society and cultural management

On 6 November at 5 p.m., the Saló de Graus of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Valencia will host the meeting ‘Heritage and climate emergency: a common challenge for civil society and cultural management’, an activity that can be followed both in person and online.

The initiative is part of the European campaign ‘Heritage in Crisis,’ promoted by European Young Museologists Link (EYML), and seeks to create a space for reflection on the consequences of climate change on cultural and natural heritage. The meeting aims to promote dialogue between professionals, institutions, and citizens to move towards more sustainable and resilient management models.

The programme will include various round tables and project presentations that will address, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the challenges that the climate crisis poses to the heritage sector. Participants will include specialists and representatives from organisations linked to conservation and sustainability:

· Carmen Marqués, ambassador for the European Climate Pact
· Maisie Brewer, CV delegate for Talent for the Future.
· Pilar Espona, member of the UNESCO Forum University and Cultural Heritage Chair team.
· Lucía Bouzas Naya, from the Museu de la Festa d'Algemesí.
· Maya Montfort and María Sanz, Salvem les Fotos project.
· Elena Vadillo, senior technician at the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts.
· As well as members of the Towched and Huella M collectives for Sustainability in Museums.

The conference invites participants to rethink the role of heritage as an active agent in the face of the climate emergency and to strengthen cooperation between the university community, young professionals and cultural organisations.
