II ENCUENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE CÁTEDRAS UNESCO IBEROAMERICANAS EN PATRIMONIO CULTURAL
La ciudad de València será sede los días 12 y 13 de junio de 2025 del Segundo Encuentro Internacional de Cátedras UNESCO Iberoamericanas en Patrimonio Cultural, un foro que reunirá a destacadas voces del ámbito académico, institucional y técnico en torno a la conservación del patrimonio cultural.
La Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), a través de la Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV, será la anfitriona de esta cita internacional, que este año se desarrollará bajo el lema “Buenas prácticas en patrimonio cultural”. Este evento es considerado una plataforma clave para el intercambio de conocimientos y experiencias entre las diversas Cátedras UNESCO del ámbito iberoamericano.
Durante las dos jornadas, expertos de diversos países debatirán sobre estrategias innovadoras en la conservación, gestión y sostenibilidad del patrimonio cultural, abordando temas tan actuales como el impacto de la crisis climática, la digitalización de los bienes culturales, la participación comunitaria o la gobernanza patrimonial. Además, se presentarán estudios de caso y experiencias locales e internacionales que ejemplifican modelos efectivos de intervención en contextos complejos.
Desde la organización, la Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV ha agradecido públicamente la comprensión y el respaldo recibido por parte de las instituciones participantes ante la reprogramación, destacando además la oportunidad que supone este encuentro para reflexionar sobre los desafíos contemporáneos que enfrenta el patrimonio cultural en un mundo marcado por la emergencia climática, los conflictos sociales y los rápidos cambios tecnológicos.
“Este Encuentro no solo permitirá compartir conocimientos técnicos, sino también consolidar redes de cooperación entre universidades, entidades culturales y organismos internacionales comprometidos con la protección del legado común”, han señalado los organizadores.
Las inscripciones ya se encuentran disponibles y, desde esta red, se hace un llamado a investigadores, profesionales del patrimonio, estudiantes y responsables institucionales a sumarse a este espacio de diálogo y colaboración internacional.

II INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF IBERO-AMERICAN UNESCO CHAIRS IN CULTURAL HERITAGE
On 12 and 13 June 2025, the city of Valencia will host the Second International Meeting of Ibero-American UNESCO Chairs in Cultural Heritage, a forum that will bring together leading academic, institutional and technical voices in the field of cultural heritage conservation.
The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), through the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV, will host this international event, which this year will be held under the theme ‘Good practices in cultural heritage’. This event is considered a key platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the various UNESCO Chairs in Latin America.
During the two days, experts from different countries will discuss innovative strategies for the conservation, management and sustainability of cultural heritage, addressing current issues such as the impact of the climate crisis, the digitisation of cultural assets, community participation and heritage governance. In addition, case studies and local and international experiences that exemplify effective models of intervention in complex contexts will be presented.
From the organisers, the UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV has publicly thanked the understanding and support received from the participating institutions for the rescheduling, highlighting the opportunity that this meeting represents to reflect on the contemporary challenges facing cultural heritage in a world marked by climate emergency, social conflicts and rapid technological change.
‘This meeting will not only enable the sharing of technical knowledge, but also consolidate cooperation networks between universities, cultural institutions and international organisations committed to the protection of our common heritage,’ said the organisers.
