MESA REDONDA: LA SEDA EN EL ENTORNO DEL SANTO CÁLIZ
A la Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural le complace anunciar la celebración de una mesa redonda online titulada "La Seda en el entorno del Santo Cáliz en el marco de la Orfebrería Sacra", que tendrá lugar el próximo miércoles 4 de junio a las 16:00 horas (hora española).
El evento será inaugurado por la Dra. María Victoria Vivancos Ramón, directora de la Cátedra, y estará moderado por la Dra. María Pilar Espona Andreu, comisaria de la exposición y colaboradora de la institución. La mesa redonda reunirá a destacados expertos del ámbito cultural, artístico y religioso vinculados al patrimonio textil y sacro:

D. Néstor Olucha Feliu, director del Museo Mariano de la Virgen de los Desamparados

D. José Verdeguer García, canónigo conservador del Patrimonio y director del Museo de la Catedral de Valencia
Durante la sesión se abordará el papel de la seda en el ámbito litúrgico y su vinculación con el Santo Cáliz, destacando piezas representativas como una réplica didáctica contemporánea del Santo Cáliz, un terno litúrgico de seda verde del siglo XIX, y diversos objetos devocionales confeccionados en este material.
La actividad busca promover el conocimiento y la valoración del patrimonio sacro, especialmente en lo que respecta a la tradición sedera valenciana y su conexión con la espiritualidad y la historia del Santo Cáliz. La sesión será grabada y estará disponible posteriormente para quienes no puedan asistir en directo.

ROUND TABLE: SILK IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF THE HOLY CHALICE
The UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage has announced the celebration of an online round table entitled ‘Silk in the environment of the Holy Chalice in the framework of Sacred Goldsmithing’, which will take place on Wednesday 4 June at 16:00 hours (Spanish time).
The event will be opened by Dr. María Victoria Vivancos Ramón, director of the Chair, and will be moderated by Dr. María Pilar Espona Andreu, curator of the exhibition and collaborator of the institution. The round table will bring together leading experts in the cultural, artistic and religious fields linked to textile and sacred heritage:
- D. Eduardo Puertes, president of the Brotherhood of San Jerónimo
- D. Néstor Olucha Feliu, Director of the Marian Museum of the Virgin of the Desamparados
- Mr. José Verdeguer García, Canon Curator of Heritage and Director of the Museum of the Cathedral of Valencia.
During the session, the role of silk in the liturgical sphere and its link with the Holy Chalice will be discussed, highlighting representative pieces such as a contemporary didactic replica of the Holy Chalice, a liturgical green silk robe from the 19th century, and various devotional objects made from this material.
