En el marco de la conmemoración del Día Internacional de la Mujer (8M), el Instituto Universitario de Restauración del Patrimonio (IRP) y Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural UPV, tienen el placer de anunciar el evento titulado "Mujeres en la gestión, Conservación y Difusión del Patrimonio Cultural", una jornada dedicada a visibilizar el papel fundamental de las mujeres en la preservación y promoción del patrimonio.
El evento contará con la participación de destacadas profesionales del ámbito de la Conservación y Restauración del Patrimonio Cultural, entre ellas:
- Araceli Pereda Alonso, Presidenta de Hispania Nostra.
- Pilar Roig Picazo, Catedrática del Departamento de Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales de la UPV.

Mª Teresa Espejo Arias, Directora del Secretariado de Conservación y Restauración - Vicerrectorado de Extensión Universitaria, Patrimonio y Rel. Institucionales y Catedrática de la Universidad de Granada (UGR).
- Gemma Mª Contreras Zamorano, Directora del Institut Valencià de Conservació, Restauració i Investigació (IVCR+I).
- María Victoria Vivancos Ramón, Directora de la Cátedra UNESCO Forum Universidad y Patrimonio Cultural y Catedrática del Departamento de Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales de la Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV).
Este encuentro busca generar un espacio de diálogo y reflexión sobre los desafíos y avances en la equidad de género dentro del ámbito patrimonial. Asimismo, se abordará la contribución de las mujeres en la investigación, gestión y divulgación del patrimonio cultural, así como su impacto en la preservación de la memoria histórica y la identidad de las comunidades.
La jornada se presenta como una oportunidad para resaltar el papel transformador de las mujeres en este sector y para continuar promoviendo la igualdad en el acceso a posiciones de liderazgo y toma de decisiones dentro del campo de la conservación y restauración del patrimonio.

As part of the commemoration of International Women's Day (8M), the University Institute of Heritage Restoration (IRP) and UNESCO Chair Forum University and Cultural Heritage UPV, are pleased to announce the event entitled “Women in the management, conservation and dissemination of cultural heritage”, a day dedicated to highlight the fundamental role of women in the preservation and promotion of heritage.
The event will be attended by leading professionals in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, including:

- Pilar Roig Picazo, Professor of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage of the UPV.
- Mª Teresa Espejo Arias, Director of the Conservation and Restoration Secretariat - Vice-rectorate of University Extension, Heritage and Institutional Relations and Professor of the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and Professor at the University of Granada (UGR).
- Gemma Mª Contreras Zamorano, Director of the Institut Valencià de Conservació, Restauració i Investigació (IVCR+I).

This meeting seeks to generate a space for dialogue and reflection on the challenges and advances in gender equity within the heritage field. It will also address the contribution of women in research, management and dissemination of cultural heritage, as well as their impact on the preservation of historical memory and community identity.
The conference is presented as an opportunity to highlight the transformative role of women in this sector and to continue promoting equality in access to leadership and decision-making positions within the field of heritage conservation and restoration.
